  • true 1TB as in 1024GB?

    • No. They mean there's no peak/off peak distinctions, it's 1000 GB any time.

      • groan Backhaul in Regional areas is gunna suffer!
Dunno why Hackett has issues with peak/offpeak metering!! hrmf

The Naked versions are just plain silly. For the higher limit plans, they are $20 more expensive - the whole point of naked is to save money by not paying line rental, which Internode now charges in higher plan costs anyway.

    • Naked plans have been more expensive since they were first released on any ISP

      • Yes, but the price difference has always been such that it was still cheaper to go naked than pay line rental. Now, with the Large (300Gb) plans and above, there's pretty much no reason to look at a naked connection.

    • Even though you do not pay line rental as such, Internode still pays Telstra an amount for use of the copper cable for its Naked plans.

It is not as much as normal line rental, but i believe it is the somwhere between $15 and $17 a month.

That is why Naked plans are more expensive.

ISPs also make more money from their customers if they bundle their internet and real home phone line, so those offers often get a bit more love than the Naked plans which we were all lead to believe would be the latest, greatest, cheapest and best.

  • The above prices all requiring bundling your home phone at a minimum cost of $34.95/month, unbundled versions are $10 more expensive.

Also as the new plans are "Easy" plans they count uploads towards your quota, so if you're comparing to existing Internode plans take 10% to 50% off the quota depending on your usage.

    • "Internode will release new analogue telephone services called NodeLine HomePlus and NodeLine BizPlus, which cost $34.95 and $39.95 a month respectively and include the first $5 of phone calls each month"

I know this is internode, but doesn't everyone else pretty much charge around the $30 mark for telephone services? Node just added a minimum $5 spend and then tell you it includes $5 worth of calls. I don't see the bargain there!

  • Nice prices, however sadly their ADSL2+ coverage in Melbourne isn't too good. They need more exchanges.

  • for Internode they're cheap I suppose, but they're more expensive then many other ISPs.

Don't forget Internode includes uploads towards your quota, making them less then desirable for those who like to share.

    • that is bull crap. maybe for this plan but not on the Extreme plans.

    • Yeah, pretty much all their plans DON'T count uploads. This is the first plan I've heard of that does.

      • Easy Plans have been counting uploads since Oct 09 IIRC

  • this may feel like a bargain for InterNode users but not for members of this site.
    I wouldn't bother.
There are others that offer better value for money.

good effort from poster so I won't vote negative.
