Covau tried to offer me 26% off electricity, but the supply and usage rate is absurdly high, I would need a 55% discount to have a comparable rate with other companies.
Supply discounts exist both to make comparisons between retailers difficult and to get around it being illegal to penalise people who are having difficulty paying their bills.
This is rubbish, you cannot find any details of the offer unless you tell them all your details. Then they will spam you when you find it is crap.
not a deal, no info on rates or supply charges, most major providers have a 'discount' promo direct with them anyway and likely a $50 sign up bonus
These discounts are meaningless. Unless you know the supply & usage rate charges the 22% discount is meaningless. The supply & kwh rates could be the highest in the industry. Electricity retailers should just list the plain daily supply charge & usage rates for each locality with discount applied. These retailers make it as difficult as possible to compare actual charges between retailers. All smoke & mirrors.
