UPDATE 28 May 2017
Some OzBargainers are finding and posting codes that can get you free tickets, so it can be worth checking for codes in the most recent comments for:
- this post, ie Groupon tickets and Perth
- this post, ie Wineselector 30% off GA tickets
Codes tend to be used up pretty quickly and may be location dependent (thanks to rmk and more for confirming that).

This deal

From the page

$17 for Friday day or night session entry for one person (total value up to $25)
$45 for Saturday or Sunday entry for two people (total value up to $60)
$70 for Saturday or Sunday entry for four people (total value up to $120)

passing on finding better discount codes for now; got other things to do. :)

Don't forget Cashback etc.
If new, you may find a Groupon referral code to be useful when signing up (see below).
I think the process would be:
- get a referral code
- sign up using the code
- log out of Groupon and close that page

  • log into Cashback or other
  • go to Groupon
  • log in and buy the tickets

    They've been free the last couple of days, how a price increase a bargain??

    • +1

      The [PER] in the title refers to Perth.

      There are threads for free tickets in Sydney and Melbourne.
      Nothing for Perth.

      Also, the free ticket threads say Expired and Out of Stock.

      On another note, if you have codes for Melbourne for free tickets, codes which have not been used up, please do PM me.

      • -1

        You just need to enter a promo code here: https://tickets.lup.com.au/perth-good-food-and-wine-show-201…

        • +3

          JV, those threads say EXPIRED and OUT OF STOCK because the promo codes no longer work!
          Those codes now return a message that all available tickets for that code, are gone.

          :S

        • -1

          @foundit:

          the promo codes no longer work

          Either find a new one, or change you user name….

        • +1

          I've found a way to save some people some money.

          You're being unhelpful to people on this thread :S

        • @foundit:

          Just because some codes have expired, does not mean that they all have.

          Also, being rude is not going to get me to PM you any extra tickets…

        • @jv:
          I tried all the ones on the other thread.
          I even found some more.
          All were maxxed out.

          Are you saying you have some working codes that are not maxxed out?

        • -1

          @foundit:

          Are you saying you have some working codes that are not maxxed out?

          Nope, but it is more likely more codes exist than the chance they don't exist…

        • +3

          @jv:

          1- You pointed out that codes WERE free the last 2 days … (but there are heaps of people who missed getting those)
          So pointing to expired posts to belittle this post was, unhelpful.

          2- I gave you the benefit of the doubt, stayed polite and asked you if you happen to have any codes that still worked

          3- You responded by telling me to go find more codes or change my user name

          4- I then said you were an idiot which was not nice so I changed it to, you were being unhelpful
          I guess I should have said at that point, you were trolling

          5- You have no evidence there are any more working codes, you are now complaining that I insulted you, you've even admitted you don't know there are any working codes left out there. There was no benefit to what you added to this thread.

        • +1

          @jv:
          I guess at the end, this deal provides a DEFINITE discount.

          Pointing out that people can sit down and try to guess a code for a free ticket … there's no evidence there are any more codes and that's with people trying to find them!

          You were even talking about the WRONG CITY for goodness sake!

          You are off topic JV.

        • -1

          @foundit:

          stayed polite

          I saw that comment you deleted… You are very rude

          @foundit:

          the WRONG CITY for goodness sake!

          https://tickets.lup.com.au/perth-good-food-and-wine-show-201…

          There are promo codes for Perth too… It says so in the link.

        • +1

          @jv:
          Since you want to point out rudeness, you were being rude before me and unhelpful for people trying to find a better deal.

          Telling me to go out and find codes so people can get in for free … or change my username, was both self entitled and rude.

          Telling me to go find more codes … why don't you go find people more codes? Sound rude?
          It was "very rude" and sounded self entitled, when you said it to me.

          Also, you had no evidence of any codes giving free tickets for Perth.
          I had responded to people pointing out that there were codes for Melbourne and Sydney, but people hadn't posted discounts for Perth.

          As I said before, step 2 I was still trying to be patient and by step 4, I was rude (though to me, not as rude as you'd been). I even retracted it within moments because it was not helpful to the dialogue.

          The link does not say that there are more codes.
          There is a spot where you can try out codes.

          As others pointed out, those free codes for Melbourne and Sydney did not work in Perth.

          Also, at the time I posted this deal, there were no codes posted for free tickets in Perth at that time.
          (Possibly still aren't any codes for 100% free tickets in Perth; 2 for 1 is not the same thing)

          This was posted for people who:
          - cannot find a better deal that matches what they want at the time that they are checking OzBargain
          - want a discount now
          - are not going to keep coming back, hoping to find a code for free tickets, as those codes keep getting used up within a short time

          Instead of you demanding OPs post better deals (based on error - this is a Perth deal and not Sydney or Melbourne like you pointed to)
          why don't you go out and see if there really are better deals.

          I invite you to post those better deals as bargains, then you could come back here and write comments to let people know you might have a better deal for them.

          It'd be a lot better than what you did.

        • @foundit:

          you were being rude before me

          No I wasn't. I was pointing out that this might not be a good deal.

        • +1

          @jv:
          By telling me to go find codes … or change my username?

          To turn your own phrase around …
          You go find codes for free entrance to Perth … or stop commenting.

          I'm pointing out you have been unhelpful AND rude.

      • +1

        I tried all those codes for free tickets for Perth when they first came out and none of them worked.

        • -1

          WA like to be different, try different codes.

        • +1

          @jv:
          Not that JV knows of any codes that work
          Not that JV has gone out and found any working codes for Perth
          I don't think JV has even found codes that are supposed to work for Perth, for this year.

          JV, why don't you list some of the working codes for Perth 2017, that you insist on?

        • @foundit:

          Not that JV knows of any codes that work

          It's in the link.

        • @foundit:

          How about going out and finding the working codes yourself?

          I don't have time.

        • @foundit:

          Not that JV has gone out and found any working codes for Perth

          I posted lots for Sydney, time for someone else to try…

        • +1

          @jv:

          This is a Perth 2017 deal.

          People said that finding codes for Perth 2017 was difficult.
          People HAVE tried finding codes for Perth 2017 free entrance.
          That we need to ENCOURAGE people to look for Perth.

          When YOU, JV, find the codes for Perth 2017 free entrance, feel free to come back and make a real contribution.

          That is great if you posted for Sydney.

          Now this is Perth.

          If you aren't helping those looking for a deal in Perth, then please, stop.

        • @foundit:

          This is a Perth 2017 deal.

          Yep, and the Perth link asks you to enter the Perth promo code

        • +1

          @jv:
          Which is what, JV?

          Read that last word I wrote and just stop

        • @foundit:

          When YOU, JV, find the codes for Perth 2017 free entrance

          I've already got Melbourne tickets for family and friends and don't need Perth tickets.

        • +1

          @jv:
          Then stop wasting the time of people in Perth, with your posts about deals for Melbourne and Sydney only!

          You came on here criticising this deal … instead of having a valid reason you just fill it up with your time wasting

        • @foundit:

          Then stop wasting the time of people in Perth

          Just letting them know there is a better deal than this one…

        • -1

          @foundit:

          You came on here criticising this deal …

          That's what the comments section is for, to discuss the deal. It's not just for fanboys and brown nosing…

          Everyone is entitled to their opinions, as long as they don't personally attack other members and stick to discuss the deal (or lack thereof)

        • +1

          @jv:

          Ain't no fanboys here
          Ain't no brown nosing

          There is an extremely evasive JV

          You are NOT letting people know there is a better deal than this one
          Unless you are telling people to get a plane ticket to Melbourne or Sydney, taxi fares etc … instead of going to the Perth one.

          You haven't pointed to any relevant deal for Perth

          All you point to is Melbourne and Sydney deals.

        • +1

          @jv:
          To reiterate before you again pretend that there is a deal out there.

          On a Perth 2017 thread, you pointed at EXPIRED codes for Melbourne and Sydney … as some sort of proof that there could be a Perth 2017 code.

          Meanwhile, other people who've tried finding codes for Perth, wrote that it's difficult

          JV, you aren't pointing to any deals let alone better deals.
          JV, you are just wasting time.

        • @foundit:

          people who've tried finding codes for Perth, wrote that it's difficult

          but not impossible.. don't expect everything to be easy and have others do the work for you.

        • +1

          @jv:

          Discussion of your fantasy does not equate to a discussion of a deal in reality.

        • @foundit:

          As I said, in the link, they state there are promo codes for Perth.

          If you don't want to look for them, that is fine, nobody is forcing you…

        • +1

          @jv:

          Here we go again. Evasive JV.

          There is nothing in the link saying there is a code for Perth.
          There is nothing in the link saying there are any free tickets.

          We have a stock standard page used for all the locations. Some locations have codes revealed. But nothing for Perth.

          Is this really just about, you got it wrong and don't want to admit it … or are you just a troll?

        • @foundit:

          There is nothing in the link saying there is a code for Perth.

          let me help you here…

          "Have a promo code?"
          "Enter the promo code here"

        • +1

          @jv:

          Unhelpful and evasive as ever.

          Pointing to the link where there is NO CODE and pretending there is.

        • @foundit:

          Pointing to the link where there is NO CODE

          You need to ENTER the code, it says so…

        • @foundit:

          Unhelpful and evasive as ever.

          I think you need a reality check here.

          Only 2 people other than you think this is a good deal

        • +1

          @jv:
          I said you were unhelpful and evasive.

          I never said this was a great deal.

          There are 3 other people who voted on it and 87 who bothered to click on the link. Hopefully some of them get some benefit from what I posted.

          You aren't saving people money on this deal.

          You are just trying to distract and disorient people with misdirection again.

          JV, evasive, unpleasant, obstinate and getting things wrong

        • @foundit:

          I never said this was a great deal.

          Then why did you post it? Read the posting rules.

        • +1

          @jv:
          Again, misdirection by JV.

          JV got it wrong.

          This is Perth.

          JV pointing to expired deals in other parts of the country does not equal JV being helpful.

        • @foundit:

          This is Perth.

          I posted the link for entering Perth codes.

        • @jv:

          Stop being a troll, jv. Stop continuing arguments when you are wrong. Get a life.

        • @ripsnorter:

          Unlike you, I'm posting about this deal, not posting to attack other OzBargain members…

        • +1

          @jv:
          I am posting about this deal - your comments are wrong as usual and you are attacking the OP for no reason whatsoever. Completely unhelpful trolling as usual. Your comments have contributed nothing to this deal and you continue to argue when you are wrong.

        • @ripsnorter:

          I am posting about this deal

          No you are not, you are calling people trolls…

          "Abuse, name calling and malicious comments directed at a person or a group of people are unacceptable."
          "please respect everyone's opinion"

          Read the commenting rules..

        • OK, let's end this pointless conversation here.

          Thanks.

  • +2

    There will be more free codes

    • This is a place holder for anyone who misses the free codes.

  • If you have two people going to Perth on Saturday or Sunday it's $60 full price, less 30% using the code VINOMOFO30 which I calculate to then be $42… which is a smidge less than the Groupon deal.

  • +6

    Well, I don't understand why anyone would pay for tickets. It's just vendors trying to flog their products. Should be a free expo.

    The last thing (as an ozbargainer) I would want to do is find a pricier wine I like more than the cheaper one I'm already happy with. Price bracket creep is a bitch :)

    • Some people would like to see some of these chefs and cooks at work, live.

      For some people, it's a nice outing. (eg I saw carers helping others in wheel chairs)

      Others again, it's a work function or catching up with friends.

      To each their own.

    • In the first few years there was loads of samples and freebies. I remember going back to the car twice to offload stuff at the old convention centre.

  • From $12.50/adult for CitiBank customers: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/316582
