But can currently stack with $25 amex promo which expires tomorrow!

  • Does stack with the Amex promo- just got my $25 statement credit for it, so effectively you pay $375 for $450 credit- great to use at Rockpool or the hotels and avoid the nasty 1.6% credit card surcharge.

For new members also that join crown rewards you get a bonus $25 worth in rewards points as well.
Used to be $50. but $25 is still good with the current offers.

    • When I looked a few months ago, the smallest crown giftcard you could get from them was $50, so couldn't so much with the 2500 points?

      • You could withdraw the balance using the VIK machines inside the casino or use it on meals or other things around the complex.

If you have multiple registered Amex cards, you will need to physically go in to buy a $400 gift card and then place across multiple cards and then rinse and repeat.

    • Don' think it'll work:

Offer is strictly limited and only available via Crown Gifts online.

    • Wont work. must be purchased online.

    • Thanks for the heads up guys. If that's the case the. It will cost $375 cash for a $450 gift card.

  • You can actually go to counter and split pay in theory to get more than $25 off, but after the last chaos in November where everyone paid with 4 AMEXs for the $500 for $400 deal, Crown staff members have been explicitly instructed not to split pay with AMEX in any way, so you might as well buy online.

  • Plus $10 postage if living in Perth. Can only pick up from Crown Melbourne. Anyone able to get around this? (ie. collect from Perth?).

    • I called Crown perth and they confirmed I could collect from crown gifts at the cloakroom outside entrance to casino. I ordered my card (and selected pickup from Crown Melb) and when I received the confirmation email from Crown, it specifically says that I can collect from Crown Perth.

      • I had no hassles collecting from Perth last time the deal was on

        • Word of warning, I just got off the phone. I just bought the card thinking I could collect from Perth. Wrong! I was advised that on the booking online, it was selected Melbourne. And the email says I can collect it in either Perth or Melbourne.

To get it sent to Crown Perth, it would cost $10 shipping. I complained that its so stupid to charge a $10 fee, for the gift card to shipped from Crown Melbourne to Crown Perth. I understand if it was sent to my home, I would pay the $10. But within Casinos? Really?!

Happy if you guys got the Perth contact number that can advise otherwise.

update: I'm emailing [email protected] to get a resolution. $50 bonus might end up being $50 - $10 shipping.

      • Update: despite calling Crown Perth first and got confirmation I can pick up from Crown Perth, now being told it can't be picked up when I rocked up at Crown desk in Perth.

        • yup same for me too. Misleading information.

          I got told to RTFM.

          Good Afternoon ———,

          Thank you for your email.

As per the terms and conditions the promotion cannot be collected in Perth, please see the terms and conditions - http://www.crowngifts.com.au/50-Additional-Value--P185.aspx

I have attached a manual order form so we can process the $10 postage fee, alternatively we can offer you a refund.

Should you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

  • I'm guessing this has probably been asked before in this context, but am I right in assuming that even though this is a gift-card for a CASINO, that gift-card can not actually be used to buy gambling chips at that casino?

    • +2

      Correct.

You can use at Restaurants and bars primarily. There's a full list on the site.

  • can you use the gift card for purchases from http://www.crownhotels.com.au/crowndirect/ ?
