    COVFEFE ha

  • Thanks hamza23! I grabbed a Toshiba Canvio 2TB.

    • ….collected the HDD from OfficeWorks. They gave me the "Connect II" instead of the "Basics" model. Win!

Anybody else think that every portable HDD deal should list whether the drive inside can be removed for SATA access or is it unremovable?

    • +1

I doubt every poster of such deals would have that knowledge, so collectively we all could miss out on bargains.

    • Anybody else think this is something you can easily google yourself?
YouTube has disassembly videos that will confirm this better than any comment.

    • For Christ's sake, folk are already volunteering their time to post this stuff, and you see fit to demand more?

      Go to your room!

    • Not really, because you would need to open it up and void your warranty to find out for sure, unless someone has already done it on Youtube.

You can take a guess by the length. Most of them these days are not much longer than the drive itself, usually meaning it has an integrated USB controller.

      • sometimes things vary in batches …..though model number stays the same ….. they sell a
        product not components….

  • Cheers OP, grabbed a Seagate.

  • I tried to grab a Seagate 1TB. When I used a code COV… price is discounted to $65 but when I'm going to PayPal page there is $75 instead of $65 which is showed as "order total" on eBay page.

Anyone had the same problem as me? Any ideas?

    • The seller still gets paid $75. You pay $65, eBay pays $10. It should be displayed in the details.

    • The popup to log in to paypal on the checkout page will show the full amount, but the total amount on the right of the checkout page (after discount) is the amount you will be charged.

    • It is strange but until i'm not logged in on paypal page code COV… works and when I'm logged in discount disappeard I've got information that "This code can't be applied to your order." http://tool.teleit.pl/screenshot-pay.ebay.com.au-2017-06-03-…

      • Maybe check this.
        4. Make sure the email address for your eBay user ID is also on your PayPal account.

      • I've used a second paypal account without my eBay email address on it before.

This code is single use, haven't used it already have you?

        • Code works on my account multiple times but… You have to have payment address in Oz on PayPal

Btw: there is no possibility to change payment country in existing PayPal account - you have to create new one

          Thx for help.

  • Hi guys. Can anyone give their opinion on what may be better for the PS4.
This 2tb Toshiba for $89 or a 2tb Seagate from JB for $109.
    Any advice would be appreciated.
I've had a 2tb desktop Seagate for my Xbox one for a couple of years with no problem and just wondering if I should stick with Seagate.
    Cheers
