  • my G2 still going strong, I think they messed up since then…

I wouldn't touch if with a 20ft barge pole. Had two, both died of the ever so familiar bootloop, within 6-7 months of purchase. First one was a second hand, an HK import, so no chance of claiming warranty. Second was via an Australian eBay seller, in the process of claiming warranty.

Easily the best phone I have owned.

The DAC and camera/video/audio recording options are great.

I have not seen any widespread bootloop issues. I save everything to external SD just in case.

Dropped mine loads of times and no issues with the camera cracking.

  • I didn't have any issue with LG G3 that I have used for over a year.

  • I have had this phone for 6 months. Fantastic phone for me, especially the audiophile quality Quad Dac output (for music lovers). You can even record at the front row of a gig with no distortion! Dual cameras are great. In my job its handy to get a whole rack of IT equipment in one shot using wide angle lens.

Battery for me is excellent, but i dont use facecrack. Easily 1.5 days per charge. I do keep a spare charged battery in my bag, just in case I need an instant topup.

The only thing that worried me was root, but Powerbrowser keeps me ad free. A winner at this price!

    • Oh is the microphone able to handle extreme volume?
I've had this phone for a few weeks now and did not know haha

  • Really really tempted to get one.
For me, my LG G4 was by far the best phone I've owned. It's just too slow for me now.

I replaced it with a Huawei P9 which is pretty decent but has annoying software issues.

I wonder if Vaya will be good warranty-wise if they do bootloop.

    • +1

To be honest, given Vaya's feedback, probably not after the PayPal 6 months.

      • That's a bit of a bummer then. Happily qd_au replaced my G4 when it died, but it took a long time.

        • You should be alright, LG admitted fault to bootlooping in the Nexus 5X and G4 and extended warranties thus.

Reports of bootlooping is much lower for the newer LG phones.

          Caveat emptor.

Was looking through my YouTube subscription, pocketnow still loves his v20 7 month later from the sounds of it, only complaint was the grip and lack of updates.

    • can't agree on the lack of updates. could be verizon thing but my v20 just got a May security update just last week.

as for it being slippery. sure is. mine has a case with a kickstand.

  • Really tempted to pull the trigger on this one.

Am I better off paying a little bit extra and getting it from qd_au?

I know both are grey imports, but are there any differences between the qd_au stock and Vaya stock in terms of band coverage/specs?

    • +1

No difference in bands, but I'd say qd_au would have better warranty support based on what others have said.

    • Same with me. I almost bought this morning but after looking at the ebay feedbacks I am gonna with until eBay's next deal. Btw, the titan color is now around $20 cheaper to $455.

      • $10 cheaper than when I ordered. Might cancel and re-order with cashrewards too.

  • Anyone know whether this comes with B&O headphones
If any vaya associates here please respond

  • Ordered one from Vaya, but expecting to wait a few weeks for it to come, according to others comments.
