DJI Mavic Pro - Fly More Combo $949.05 Shipped @ Shopping Square on eBay (HK)

1190
C5OZ

eBay's deal for 8pm-9pm today, looks like a cracking price.

Postage location is 'Economy delivery from outside AU', so definitely grey import (if the price didn't give it away already)

To those saying its a price error, it's definitely not as its been promoted everywhere on eBay's home page, deal page, etc. They can't have mistyped the price 5-6 times on banner images :) Oh also eBay's live faceook video event.

I have never seen any deal ozbargained as fast on here. Not for any item above $10!
That was a record, selling 300 drones for almost $1000 that quick.

  • +4

So many duplicates straight after this post. lyl, fastest poster in the west

    • 5 I wonder if that is a record.

      • +1

It's funny how none of the others put it down as the discounted price with the coupon code

  • too quick to update. haha.. u r like lightning fast

  • coupon is C5OZ

        • @kulprit: more than 82% sold already

    • lol just saw that, christ.

    • it was 21 sold in last 24hrs.. now it says 211 sold in one hr

  • +1

do you pay additional taxes? its shipped from hongkong.

    • GST-free threshold (until next month) is $1000 i think, so you'll be fine for now.

      • looks like it won't be delivered till july though :(

  • Delivery is one month away though.

    • Yeah, but damn its a tempting price

  • +1

omg!! so bloody tempting ~~~ do i really need to spend more that much money tonight? (after the xbone s just now.. and more on 15% later)

  • +2

Is this a good price bought without looking lmao

    • +1

      It is insanely good

      • Thanks for making me feel better XD

  • +2

How the hell are they doing it so cheap?

    • +1

Tells you something about the margins on that baby doesn't it… Perhaps their supplier is also in on it and doing them an extra special rate.

  • +1

Did someone forget a 1 at the start of the listing price?

    • I thought that too, but its on the front page of the site as well.

  • And so I promised myself I would buy when its sub 1k…..snatched :)

  • +2

I got one within the first few mins (before seeing this oddly)

Got it for the $949 all paid

    Freaking deal of the year

  • Buy now and wait till 10pm for payment for another 15% off? Is that do-able?

    • Its already 70% sold out in the last 5 minutes… go now

  • Bought one. Gosh im running out of money

  • +2

If only I had a spare $949 laying around.

  • +2

    $250k in drones in 13mins

  • Well then there was $950 I wasn't planning on spending tonight…

  • OK. If anyone wants to buy it, now there's the percentage of the units sold showing. Keep that in sight, as it has just gone over 85% gone.

Edit: 90% sold. Just resist couple of more minutes and you don't have to impulse buy. Arggh! lol

  • I am a bit doubt if they have enough stock to send! Since they are promoting this deal in the eBay front page, they must be fully aware what they are doing. Does that mean the Mavic Pro 2 is coming very soon?

    • New one won't come out before October.

  • Insane deal. 200 sold in 10 mins!

eBay is going to be flooded with resellers in a month.

    • Or the Australia skyline will be flooded with Mavic soon…

  • delivery 2019?

  • -1

About to be sold out. Get it fast cos you can always resell it

  • Pricing error? Price does not make any sense, given the pricing of the recently released Spark.
Having said that, I bought one when they were 'rare as hens teeth' in shops, and it is an amazing flying machine!

  • only 9 left now! haha

  • $849.15!

  • Yeah was only 300 for sale. Crazy fast sell out.

    • Yeah Ozbargained HARD

  • Aaaaaand gone! 300 unites sold in 15 minutes. lol

    I am glad I resisted! :D

    • why?

      • +3

Coz I bought a ton of gadgets over the last few years, and some of them are still in their boxes. I impulse-buy and hardly use stuff.

    • +1

I resisted too, i was hoping it would be out of stock, went on to order and manage to get one…. T_T

      • +1

        Damn! haha

Hope you'll get a use for it. For me, if I knew that I would use it, even as a hobby, I would have bought it. It's just that I quickly lose interest in most of the stuff that I buy, so it would have been a grand down the drain. I have a DSLR & a digital cameras, as well as a X-Box S that I bought last year, and they're all collecting dust here. lol

  • Item is out of stock!

  • Lol sold out - 300 in 16 minutes

  • NOW SOLD OUT!

  • How is it possible?! Pricing error?

  • Lol out ot stock already

  • GONE… damn would have been nice to have a couple left at 10PM for 15% off…

  • Sold out!

  • -1

Gone, why is everyone buying it? Its $999

  • missed out :(

  • had in cart went to finalise and gone!!

  • I already have one…. why did I buy another?

    • for the batteries ;)

    • +2

Maybe you want a nice footage of your Mavic Pro itself flying?

      • Hah yes good idea.

    • As a spare when you have a fly away

  • I bought one, but failed to apply the coupon :(

    • You are not alone!

      • cheers, felt a bit better now :)

        • Still wont better that price anytime soon

    • contact ebay and say that you were trying to apply the coupon, and it failed. they might refund you the money

      • will try that, thanks

      • They will actually do that. I tried to enter a code once and couldn't so bought the item at normal price and contacted them and they could see the purchase was made during the promo period and so credited the difference back to my PayPal account. Had to send them the item number and order number etc but it came through in about 10 days.

        • +2

I just talked with them, they are going to refund me in 10-15 days! thanks for confirming this.

      • I forgot to apply the coupon as well, so I bought another one instantly with the coupon applied, then I sent them a message to cancel my first order.

I am not sure they are happy to cancel my first order, this is a gift to my dad, so I will keep one if they can't cancel my first order.

        • Happy to take one of your hands if they don't cancel your order! :)

        • @Benwa: sorry mate, my colleague has secured it already. Hope you find one soon.

    • Me too…..

  • -1

I was thinking of buying one and selling it for more as I already have one, but it was selling so fast I could not think it through haha.

For future reference, what's the warranty situation buying from overseas (eg.Hong Kong) stock?

    • bye bye $950

      • It's a great drone :) you won't regret it haha and you got it for so cheap!

I've heard stories however that units produced to be sold in China (not sure about Hong Kong) are poorer quality than units intended to be sold overseas. Not sure about this situation though.

        • I didn't buy, i was answering your question about warranty.

        • Oh Haha! So no statutory warranty. But can't you buy the DJI care refresh?

        • @happyadventurer: You can, but the DJI care is restricted in different regions which means you have to send it back to Hongkong or China for free repair. Otherwise, you have to pay to repair in Australia, unless shoppingsquare can cover it in the first year.

        • @maxdba:

Does say Warranty Service in Australia, Hong Kong on ebay description?

        • +1

@stussy: As far as I know, DJI doesn't have global warranty. Therefore warranty Service in Australia should be cover by shoppingsquare , however, they also need to send it back to DJI for repair. It is not very clear what kind of damage shoppingsquare can cover for you.

        • +1

I saw this too. Several vlogers who live in China have been complaining about it. Apparently buying second and third mavics and all having some problems.

        • @jltantrum: gimbal horizon tilt issues don't discriminate. Both my birds have the issue. AU stock.

        • @BargainKen: Yeah my Au stock phantom 4 had a gimbal issue where it wouldn't centre perfectly but they were willing to just replace the whole drone.

  • +1

missed out ffs! awesome price. dont even mind that its grey.

  • +5

    Missed out :[
    Saved money :]

  • I just want to see there reviews in a month from all these drones. I recon they are probably going to ship them late or get them mucked up

  • +1

Ahhh! Already have a phantom 3 I never use but this was too hard to resist.

    • You can send the phantom 3 my why then :p

  • So upset I missed out on this, I've been looking to buy one for the past few days and totally missed this.

    • exactly the same :(
