With all the recent bad publicity from the media about drones (potential spying, crashing into a car on Sydney Harbour Bridge etc). The Drone flying community does not need more bad press that may eventually see drones restricted to an extent it is not fun anymore. ;)

Home contents liability insurance will offer some coverage but to properly cover yourself you need to join a flying club which will give you insurance in the event of you being asked to provide proof of insurance when flying in public.
Yes, you can get insurance, however requires being accredited. Suggest joining one of the Australian DJI/Mavic groups on facebook, there is plenty of information shared on those groups.

For those who bought the drone and are first time pilots, please read the regulations on casa's site. There is also an awesome app called "Can I fly there". Please familiarise yourself with it.

Congrats :) You might also want to download the DJI Go 4 app, and also the DJI assist on your computer. When you get your Mavic, be sure to do the firmware updates, then do the remote calibration and the DJI gimbal calibration.
DJI took a short cut in QA when there was a shortage and a number of them have a camera shake issue which can be fixed with the gimbal calibration process.
I also suggest buying a larger micro sd card. Make sure it's Class 10, U3 to ensure you can record 4k.
Be aware there is also a video flicker issue. It's not too bad, but You'll need 3rd party software to fix this at $150 aud.
Highly recommend getting extended legs for the drone if you plan to take off on grass. ND filters if you want to slow down the shutter for a more cinematic video effect. Make sure they pass the gimbal initialisation test.
Also consider getting a shade for your smart phone. I just got one. I'm hoping it will allow me not to turn the brightness so high. My iphone 6s plus dies from full power after about 3 mavic batteries.
Consider joining the DJI Mavic Pro Owners group on facebook.
Last but not least, watch a lot of drone fail videos so you can learn from other people's mistakes so you don't make the same ones. I don't want to see you on the news where you crash your drone into a building.

I guess CAAS has more restriction than DJI's database. Can you apply CAAS's restrictions automatically to the DJI's software?

For anyone considering shooting 1080p at 60fps, this isn't the best camera/sensor to go for. It's advertised to do this, but handles it very poorly…that is, despite being attached to an awesomely-designed drone. I was looking into this for a few weeks and decided 1080/60 was more important to me (as with 4K@60fps), so i decided to go for a more reliable camera with mechanical shutter (and 20mp's) in the Phantom 4 Pro. Tonight is a good chance to take advantage of the 15% off on Ebay to pick one of these up…

Batteries can be had for around $110-120. The other kit in the flymore isnt as useful as the quad+batteries+props (for when your drone likes to get up close and personal with mother nature)

Apart from Spark there are no new (mavic 2) DJI drones for the foreseeable future, this wasn't a dumping of old stock.

I am not sure how this price is to work. The Mavic Pro Fly More Combo is sold for CNY7999 (AUD1500+). Even without the 5% discount this price still looks too good to be true. Just hope whoever got this deal is getting genuinely new stock rather than refurbished or 2nd hand ones…
