  • it says pre-order for today on the product page?

  • hm…i noticed that the webpage said that too.
not sure if i should just place the order and see how it goes, as long as i don't have to pay for it now until it arrived i guess it still be ok if i found another better deal for 2tb?
by the way, i have never used samsung hdd before so need to read some review on them? anyone have any good review articles? i am a fan of WD, haven't had any prob with them, though they are quite noisy and found them slow some times =)

  • I installed a 2.5 inch Samsung 500gb in my Sony PS3 to record TV shows (coupled with PlayTV) about a year ago - excellent so far.

  • I have the 1.5TB version and its quiet good. I like the quality of the metal case.

    • what drive is in it? and is it able to be taken out and used as standard hdd

  • On off button looks weird.

  • do they deliver to sydney and how much ? the on off button is indeed weird, seem out of place and way too big for travel

    • well, its 12 to deliver to a Melbourne address so i guess it would be about 12-15.
you can sign up/login and put a tentative order, it will give you an estimated cost for postage, it is then up to you to decide to go ahead with the order or not by just remove the item from your cart,
hope this helps (that's how I found out how much it cost to deliver to a melb address)

  • +2

There's no discount on combined shipping, the website just doubles P&H = $24 for two drives.
    Otherwise I would've purchased two.

  • Well I just ordered one, will have to wait and see I guess, but the price seems good

  • I think you can get them from msy fir $149 so good price if you can pickup

  • collected mine just before 5pm.
Will test it out tonight, pretty good price though
thanks for spotting the deal lol, g12345567

  • USB 2.0 only?

  • Type of Drive?

  • does anyone know what drive is inside and is it able to be taken apart and used as a standard hdd?

i wonder what drive is in a samsung case? … oh wait. it is a samsung drive…

  • +1

we all know that idiot, what model number?

  • i don't know what drive is (ide/sata?) inside case, sorry. it is quiet though and i don't mind the speed (currently am getting 20mb/s) as it is only for backup data.
