    Amaysim account is already activated for the past 2 days.

    It says i only have 26 days remaining. BUT I have not received the SIM card.

    What is going on with Amaysim?

    this is rip off if you pay in full.

      It's still not here today which means it comes tomorrow at the earliest, and my service has been activated since tuesday.

      Also they billed me twice.

      I'm going to let it pass since all I need is the data and I will have used it up by then. Also, they are paying us a profit so I won't make a fuss.

    When I complained to live chat about the sim already being activated they suggested I go out and buy a $2 sim straight away and they would credit me the $2 plus $5 compensation for the days lost. I ended up doing that last Sunday and lucky I did because I still have not received the sim they apparently posted last Friday.

    • They told me I can go out and buy a SIM as well and they will credit me $2 (not $5). However, I've already lost 2 days of service. They weren't going to compensate me for that.

      • I think it depends on who you get. The first person I spoke to on live chat offered me the $2 plus $5. The second person offered $2 plus $3 but I mentioned the other persons offer so she agreed to give me that instead.

        • Is it a refund to your card, or credit to the account for the next month? I don't intend to use it beyond the first month so credit is pointless.

        • @lostn: i ended up with $7 credit in the account which I am going to put towards a data top up. My son is using the sim and the extra data will come in handy. I doubt very much he will be using it after the month is up.

    Ordered on 9th and sim card just arrived today but was activated 6 days ago (22 days left of the 28 days cycle). Does this pre-activation apply to everyone?

    • My sim hasn't arrived yet. How do you check it was activated? I log in my account & it needs my ID for verification. I have already provided my Driver license when placing the order. Does it mean after ID verification, it will automatically activate and the SIM is ready to use when receive it. right? Thanks

        Yes the sim card was already activated and ready to use. I'm guessing it was because I chose a new number instead of porting. Just as some other users have commented, when I log into my account the cycle has already started even before I got the sim card.

      It's activated upon processing, and since they choose a really slow deliverer, you're going to lose some time.

      • Well, it's a friday and I still haven't received, which means at the earliest I'll receive it Monday. It was activated tuesday, so I will have lost 7 days of access. Good job Amaysim.

    • Same here yesterday. Checked my CC nothing. Tried again just then, same thing. Checked CC, nothing. I was using Chrome and AMEX. Then I tried Firefox and AMEX, it worked. Received email. Payment charged. Here's hoping Amaysim doesn't do something stupid like back charge me for my previous 2 attempts.

    "Your order has been processed and your amaysim SIM is on its way. It should be with you in the next 2-3 working days."

    Says I only have 22 days left to use it.

    • Sims activated on the day of delivery.. I also got 22 days left upon first logged in. Make sure you get rid of auto renewal if you dont want to recharge. To be qualify for the 5 months discount auto renewal needs to be activated.

      PS. estimated cashrewards cashback is September not 15 days after activation.

  • Signed up late last night and chose new number. It seems Amaysim has changed the activation process for new number: they no longer activate the SIM for you. You do it yourself when receive your SIM.

    However, got the "Whoops!" error after credit card payment. Clicked 'Please try again' as it asked. Then 'Whoops!' again but this time it said the error being: 'This order has been processed already.' After that, two sets of emails and guess what? Two SIM cards arrived today. Real quick but… :( Need to chat with them tomorrow to sort it out. Very likely two charges to my credit card.

    Not sure if this would stuff up CR tracking. Haven't got CR tracking email

    • Most likely the cause for the non-tracked in this case. But correct, we always need to allow 7 days. The system won't allow you to lodge a non-tracked support ticket unless 7 days have passed from purchase.

    • Can you use the sim now? Mine says "I'm ready active and ready to go" however I cant make any phone call. It asked me to activate it and gave me a different number. Weird!!

    So I got my sim card last night and now have only 21 days remaining. Is Amaysim allowed to do that? How can they charge me for something when they have not provided the service as yet? I can't use their services unless I have the product i.e. SIM card!

    Another thing which is very important, how are they even allowed to send pre activated SIM cards? What if the SIM end up in wrong hand and that person start making stupid threatening/hoax calls? Who will be responsible for such calls? This is just pure greed and stupidity on their part that they are sending pre-activated SIM cards!

        • Apparently all sims are pre-activated. That's why the remaining days is only 21-22 days after receiving the sim. But mine didn't work even though it's pre-activated.

        • @HandsomeMonkey: I think it is no longer the case. Too many complaints I suppose. I signed up Wednesday night (new number) 11:00pm and got the SIM card next day by courier. As stated in the 'welcome' email, I need to activate it myself. I did that today and have full 28 days.

      I contacted Amaysim and asked how they can charge me for the days when I couldn't use the SIM (as I simply didn't receive it)? No question asked, they offered to give $5 credit to my account to compensate for these days.

      Also, they have confirmed that $9.90 is per month (28 days) for next 6 recharges.

    If your sim doesn't work. Log into your account and go to Settings, choose Replace SIM and activate my replacement SIM, input your new sim number and you're good to go. :)

  • I'm also getting the infamous "Whoops! We're really sorry about this, but it looks like something went wrong." error on signup to Amaysim. Hopefully Cashreward will honour their promise to approve the $32 cashback later…. 8-(

    • As long as you click through CR to Amaysim (preferably disabling AdBlock Plus during this process) it'll be fine.

      Both my wife and I ordered one. My CR has the $32 there pending already, hers has no sign of it. Did both in identical fashion. It'll be fine don't worry about it :)

          I just hope their activation is quicker than their shipping service. Started my activation 2.5hrs ago (Vodafone to Optus), in the past that's usually done in an hour.

          EDIT: Spoke 15 minutes too soon. They just finished porting me now. Took just shy of 3 hours for mine.

          I've been using CR for years but never taken it too seriously until just recently. I had $37 made up mostly from <$1 cash backs. Now in short time I'm up to $87. I'm going to treat it as a Christmas bonus each year. There is a woolies deal $40 CB when you spend $100. And CashRewards have a Chrome extension allowing CashRewards to alert you to any deals available on the particular sites you're visiting. The number of times over the years I've made big orders and not been aware I could have gotten a cash back is kinda embarrassing. Not anymore!

          EDIT: That $40 woolies deal is over but they seem to repeat.

        Anyway I'm trying to remember to disable ublock before making purchases, but I almost ever do.

        • In chrome (probably others too) just do this:

          Left click on the ABP icon
          Click on "Enabled on this site" (to disable it)
          Done, no more having to remember it'll automatically be disabled.

          Or you can go through the whitelist settings but that's a longer way of doing the same thing.

          Yep I use Firefox and ublock and the cashrewards addon and just clicking the on/off button is this site only, Cashrewards tracks all my ebay purchases since I disabled it on there, it's just new sites that catch me each time.

    I am $32 richer thanks to TA and Casey from the Cashrewards team. I bought my $9.90 Amaysim on 9/6 but did not get tracking email after a week. I lodged a support ticket with CR yesterday and it took Casey less than a day ( actually, only 15 hours) to sort it out.     Got my letter containing the SIM card today (16 June) from Amaysim.
    Letter dated 13 June, and the sim is already activated.

    I think this is CHEATING me out of 3 days usage.
    If I were to choose when to activate, then I have been cheated 4 days.
    Everyone knows Australia Post does not deliver on a daily or regular basis anymore.

    I better get that cashback. These guys are dodgy stealing days of credit from you like this.

  • I ordered on the 9th, received the sim in my mailbox on the same day (Metro Melbourne). It was not pre-ativated in my case, I had to do it myself. Unfortunately it still does not show in my Cashrewards Account as tracked. I ordered through my mobile phone.

  • Has anyone kept their existing number? Is it activated once they post? Which means u go without a mobile service until sim arrives?

    • I kept my own number and my service with the existing provider continued until I started "transfer my number" when I received my new SIM. The 28 days began from activation at that point.
