Blatchy's Blues - $19.95/Yr, Buy Discounted Gift Cards (4.5% off Coles, 5% off Kmart & Target, and More)

60

Not the $4.95 or even free that has been offered before, but certainly worth it if you're gonna spend over $450/yr at Coles (for example), and 1 of the very few places you can get discounted Coles/Kmart/Target egift cards)

And 8% off EB Games too :)

  • it shows 4% off for coles egift card for me…

    • 4.5% - just received my Coles eGift Card through old free membership deal.

  • +1

Don't forget there is a 2% surcharge if purchasing gift cards with a credit card. The other payment method is direct deposit.

  • I get my Coles cards at more than 4.5% off through a fellow ozbargainer.

    • classified ads or other?

      • Was through there. The original ads have since been banned, but the offer behind them is still available.

  • For us that got it free last time… is it only valid for 1 year?

    • That was the deal. So stock up on discount eGift Cards now, as that deal was over 11 months ago (07/07/2016)!

  • +2

I used it for $1500 of Coles & Kmart cards over 11 months of free membership. Saved $75 (discount was 5%).

I don't regularly shop at those stores as get bigger discount at no cost & better offers at Woolies group. But Coles does regularly offer deals like spend $200, receive $50 in points - that's when these discounted eGift Cards get used.

So would be worth the annual fee (my $67.75 discount at new rate - $19.95 annual fee = $47.80 saved).

Break even point for buying Coles eGift Cards @4.5% discount (paid by bank deposit to avoid 2% CC fee) is $444/yr. After that it's profit!

Annual fee is regular price, so will stock up on Coles eGift Cards now & join when I run out. Never know if there may be better deal to retain all those existing members ;-)

not even free with these mobs

Seems like you need some therapy… Lie down on ze couch & tell us all about it ;-)

      I'm enjoying the free membership.
Even paying for membership works out cheaper if you can't buy at discount elsewhere & buy more than $444 of Coles eGift Cards per year.

Downside is… As a Queenslander, belonging to a NSW supporters group I feel so dirty :-(

      • Therapist? Right , right, I been reading that wrong all along. I thought their name was web……
Wondered why it didn't get removed or something. :/

        • +1

Dear Mr F George, I think it's what is in your mind… that needs to be removed ;-)
Shall I book you in for a session on the couch with webtherapist?

        • @Infidel: you could be right.

        • @furiousgeorge: typical OzBargain, when someone has different POV there is always a bunch of attackers love bullying, just a site anyway, agree or disagree everyone's opinions are different. ask yourself how many of the neg people here actually pay that amount and get that membership?

        • @webtherapist:
It was your neg vote that attracted the attention. It wasn't valid.

Bullying? Lie back & tell me all about your childhood the Bullying.

Different points of view are common on OzBargain. Mine at times can verge on the very different ;-)

        • +1

@Infidel: reason I neg Blatchy Blues is the lack of customer services, they never response to contact, not even once. haters get hate, but at least I hope potential buyers would have an thought about it

        • @webtherapist:
Better to state that reason - as a warning. That's grounds for a valid neg.

Your (I assumed angry) comment told us almost nothing of use to people buying this deal. It made no sense to me. That's why I jokingly (purely based on your username) asked you to talk about it - not as a criticism, but to explain.

Never had any reason to contact them, as all eGift Card orders were relatively fast (given delay of using bank deposit to avoid CC fee) & correct. But it's when things go wrong we really learn about deals…

They have upgraded site, so hopefully responses are possibly improved.

Your POV is important for this deal. It just lacked the details you gave above. I doubt there would have been any negs, just discussion if you had told us about your problems with the site. Want to explain further?

          Thanks.

        • @Infidel: thank you, at least I found someone reasonable like you. when it comes to things you have to pay for, customer services must be reachable. does not bother me about neg or pos comments, there are more stuff to spend time at :)

        • @webtherapist:
Just had a dispute lasting 2 weeks with BCF, over a C&C order. I expected they would be professional about my complaint, but they weren't.

After taking my money (shown by PayPal receipt), I was told the payment had failed - only solution… order & pay again. I was furious - the price had also increased. So had a quiet word with store manager & received a groveling apology with my purchase delivered free to my door today.

That was frustrating & time consuming even with reasonable communication with online sales & store staff to resolve their error. But with no communication… Oh boy!

        • @Infidel: lol

  • are there any similar offers or alternatives to this offer, I wonder. help fellow bargainers!

  • 4 positive votes, is it still a deal? no

    • +1

      As 1/4 of the upvoters…
Well it isn't a reduced price - it's the everyday price. So more a forum topic on how to save $$$.

Previous deals were definitely valid as they were at reduced price.

But as my own experience shows, it did save money even though I hardly used it & would still do so at this price. So it is sort of a bargain…

But not a valid reason for a neg vote under guidelines - though deal could be reported.

Just bought $500 Coles eGift Cards with 4.5% discount. Not sure when the old free membership expires but accepted my order. Signed up on 7/7/16.
