Great automatic watch made by Seiko. Uses the same automatic movement as the SKX007/9 so it should last well over a decade before it needs a service.
This watch is very popular with modders due to its resemblance to the famous dive watch Fifty-Five Fathoms by Blancpain.

This is the best price ever according to Camelx3

However, the same watch can be purchased from the same seller, WatchesZon on eBay for $124.61 with the code CHOPCHOP for the sought after J version (Japan) not the K version (Malaysia) 3 available Thanks to this deal by TheGoToStore.

Thanks to WatchNerd, another seller on eBay has the same model for just $121.21 after CHOPCHOP is applied for 15% off.

Thanks to WatchNerd the famous SKX007K1 on rubber is $190.49. The SKX007 (black bezel/black face) is actually cheaper than the SKX009 blue and red bezel/blue face) for once. Again use CHOPCHOP for 15% discount.

Beautiful watch and great price. Slight curve on the glass in silver and black makes it look very handsome http://s698.photobucket.com/user/DM1971/media/IMG_1770.jpg.h…

Also check out the blue and gold models.

    • Yes, the gold is the one to go for IMO and is the most popular. Quite understated. More $ though.

      • I just found it cheaper at watch tracker -
        Seiko SNZH55 $142.60 - $21.39 = $121.21 shipped
        With code CHOPCHOP

        • Can you do a post combining your two finds? Combined they are more than enough to for a post. That price is sensational. I will add above.

        • +1

Nah feel free to add it to yours.

        • @ilikeit: 2 sold last night, now the price has shot up to $181.80!
I nearly bought one myself as it was such a good price, but I probably have enough watches.

  • Why Amazon has a 2 years warranty vs 1 year from eBay?

  • Better than the Invicta 8926OB 200M, Seiko NH35A movement, versions with lock down crown ?

    • +1

Hard to compare as the Invicta (Seiko NH35A) has handwinding & hacking, but then this says Seiko on the dial.
Also the Invicta is 40mm, this is 42mm, a noticeble difference.

    • +1

One is Seiko, one is Invicta, one is a Rolex homage, one is more unique. Basically, the same movement, except NH35A has hacking. The Seiko is more of a diver 'style' watch - not ISO rated.

      • i do like the 7s36 but its hard to pass up hacking AND hand winding… also screw down crown being a true diver

    • If you still want the Invicta 8926OB US$85.98 + $7.62 Shipping I wouldn't be buying it at the current price.

The best option atm if you don't care about the SS bracelet is - Invicta 23678 US$67.43 (~AU$90.65) Shipped

  • +1

    Nice find, I also found the Seiko SKX007K1 US$168.97 - $25.34 = US$143.63 shipped (approx AU$190.00)
    With code CHOPCHOP

Nice price! You should make a separate post for that one. I don't really want to confuse people by adding the eBay code for an Amazon deal. I love my SKX009 I picked up thanks to you! I want to (more a wish) get another to add a domed crystal and ceramic bezel.

      • Unsure of stock levels.

        • Whenever I see the 'unsure of stock levels' it always seems like a lot more than what I would imagine - say 5. But that stopped me from doing the Seiko as an eBay deal.

        • I wouldn't risk posting a deal from WatchesZon anyway, I've read some dodgy comments on Watchuseek.
Some of their prices seem too good to be true.

        • @WatchNerd: I probably wouldn't for anything more than this. Also, I imagine this has a pretty high production rate.

  • is there any more importance of the j version over k version other than the country of manufacture? is the finish or movement more decorated?

    • Some people prefer J for Japan, Seiko being a Japanese brand. I couldn't care less, it's the same watch. J usually cost more.

    • It's pretty much the same.

    • on some seiko's the J version has less links in the band.

      • Learn something new every day. Do you any of these models?

    Awesome

Great find. Just bought 2 as presents 😉

I have the gold version of the SNZH pimped up as a Blancpain 50 fathoms homage, running a DAGAZ dial and leather strap.
    Looks fantastic for the money.
If i wasnt broke this pay i'd be all over this for the blue one.
They are a well made, substantial, great looking watch.
A bargain for the money they cost !!

    • I really want to do this. Was it expensive to get all the parts? Thinking about paying someone to do this since i've never modded a watch before.

  • I got an email tonight from the ebay seller saying they cancelled my order because one of their staff f'd up and put the price too low - are companies actually allowed to cancel an order for that reason on ebay? I received an ebay msg from WatchesZon "explaining" what happened, one from paypal saying my money will be refunded, and another official message from ebay stating the reason for the cancel order was the BUYER (ie me) cancelled the order. WTF? Is anybody here knowledgeable on ebay T&S? Anything I can do? I really wanted that watch for that price.

    Email from WatchesZon:

I am sorry about the terrible incident that affected your order.

Oue data-entry colleague , Maika, has emailed you a few days ago about the terrible mistake she made on our cost prices to 98 watches.
Maika asked if we can cancel the transaction or you can top up the amount so we can ship the watch and we are still waiting for your reply.

You are very important to us, I do not want you to experience any further inconvenience or think that we had cheated your money.

We decide to issue the full refund first.

This should be in your account immediately. If it does not appear, please let us know.

I already feel so sorry for Maika, she just got back from her medical leave and such unfortunate incidences happened.
98 wrong prices causing 212 sales to be transacted at below cost over the weekend and our boss want her to resolve the US$14,000 losses.
We are genuinely sorry for all the inconveniences caused and hope you will not penalize Maika by giving her a negative feedback as she will have additional penalty for any negative received.

I am desperately reaching out to you for my friend who is in need of your kind heart.

    A thousand apologies.

    Have a blessed day!

    Sincerely yours,
    Sharon

    Ebay msg:

The seller sent you a refund
    Hi [name],

We're sorry to let you know that watcheszon-au cancelled your order and mentioned the reason as Buyer asked to cancel the order.

    • This was what I was talking about with my comment here. This seems to be a common sales tactic with WatchesZon. They list watches at a really low price to bait people then send out this email to try and get you to pay the extra. You should report it to eBay & get your money back. There will always be another watch deal.

      See this thread on Watchuseek
      Another one, 3rd comment down.
      Another one, a must read!

    • That's why I posted the Amazon link as the main deal. WatchesZon sometimes pulls this crap. Amazon will usually look after you. WatchesZon's latest fake character is Maika. I've seen near-identical cut n past emails from Maika recently, but for more expensive and obscure watches. They request more money and ask for the transaction to be cancelled. If you cancel, you can't give negative feedback. I would wait for them to either post the watch or for them to cancel the transaction. Then you can give them negative feedback. Poor Maika has been screwing up hundreds of orders…surprised she is still employed.

      • Bloody Maika, she's had a bad few years working at WatchesZon.

        • Must be the bosses daughter or mistress.

        • Haha, I would tell them to either send the watch or cancel the order from their end, and if they don't you will lodge a Paypal dispute. That way you can leave negative feedback.

    • +1

I already feel so sorry for Maika, she just got back from her medical leave…

      Oh ffs.
Well i'll never be using them…thanks for the heads up all…
