Different sale items at different locations, some sale items are cheaper at Tempe but expensive at Marsden Park.

Can we price match at different store e.g. Rhodes or Marsden Park?

    • Unfortunately, each store sets its own prices according to stock levels, popularity etc.- so no price matching :(

Worst. I just bought an extremely crap $150 bed a few days ago because i couldn't afford the malm bed.
    Sad times.

    • Is the Malm range on sale?

Is the sale limited to the items shown on the website or is there other stuff on sale?

    WA LEFT OUT AGAIN

    • And what about the GST?

Joke's still on everyone else though, they have to live on the shitty side of Australia.

Nah WA is 2 hours and 20 years behind the east which means they are still in the glory days of the late 90's.

      • How's dialup working for you guys?

        • But they would have less Kiwi's
,so it all evens out ay bro

        • @s26f84: it's just a bit scary when you go down the gumboot aisle in Bunnings
          'There's no place like home'

@Beach Bum: true that. I have no words to explain. but this is home away from home for now.

    • IKEA Australia recently bought the SA/WA franchise, so within the coming year I'd wager deals will start being nationwide.

Should be fully integrated by end of 17/18 FY. Hopefully.

  • that king frame is temping hmmm

You take work where and when you can get it, I figure.

Sometimes a temp job leads to an ongoing position. It's all about getting your foot in the door.

        tempting**** :P

IKEA WA and SA franchises were recently sold back to the IKEA parent company, so expect everything to be the same relatively soon.

i've had both the malm bed and the bed in the sale … as always the problem with ikea is that they're not made to be taken apart. the bed with drawers is a problem if the bed needs to be moved for cleaning. once the frame becomes slightly misaligned, the drawers dont go in and out as easily and you have to fix it.

  • I've been eyeing the Dombas wardrobe for over a year.

If the price doesn't change after I log in with my IKEA Family account - I take it that it's not part of the sale?

We just purchased our new Kitchen from Ikea, and used this Ikea Business Offer: http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/categories/business/ getting 15% cashback in the form of a gift card. The next day we came back and purchased some of our appliances with the gift card. Pretty rapt.

    • IKEA's way of sucking you back into the store ;)

Legend. Just lodged a price protect claim with 28degrees for the Strandmon chair I bought two months ago!

  • Thanks OP. Picked up a couple of those Strandmon Light Grey chairs this morning. One left from what I saw in Tempe as of 11am.

  • How do you sign up or view discounted price?

  • Hey OP? After a King bed so why does Springvale store show no King beds?
Are they all midget customers or what?

    • Very few Ikea beds come in kings size.

      • Weird seeing as those Nordic folk are not known for being small.

        • +1

:) IKEA's beds are not made to conventional aussie sizes, thats why you'll find linen and mattresses don't say king, queen etc. but rather the dimensions (which are actually slightly larger than Australian sizes). Data suggests most customers actually purchase queen sizes, so we don't tend to stock alot of king beds.

  • I remember going to the Rhodes store when they had a "sale" on their Hemnes dressers. Asked him when the bookshelves were going to go on sale (it was part of a separate sale) and was told by a snooty worker that IKEA "doesn't do sales" and that they "only do specials".

He clearly didn't understand what sale meant.

    • +2

You should retort by telling him that at Ozbargain we don't do sales either, we do real bargains :)

  • does anyone know if you can sign up to IKEA Family on their website or in store only?

    • +1

      Yes, I do.

      Thanks for asking.

      • +1

Can sign up online or at a kiosk in store.

  • +1

So how do we see what is on sale at what store?

    • Click the link- and choose the store from the drop down box.

  • damn I blew about $900 there earlier this week thinking they wouldn't have a sale

    • +5

Buy new ones and refund with the old receipt…

  • Can you get the sale price from an online purchase?

  • I purchased the 2nd last $199 king sized brimnes (sp) frame today at Tempe.

Didn't realise you had to buy the main support beam and slats for another $90.

Me being cheap, i bought the support beam for $20 but will buy wood from bunnings for the slats lol.

Also got some fold up sun baking chairs forv$14.95 each. They look awesome for the price.
