Why not use an audio-visual receiver instead?
Just trying to see if the switch with output works first so I won't have to buy a receiver. Currently have the Muteki 7.2 setup and will need to sell the receiver with it
Why not play base. The drop in price is due to the fact that they have a newer product right?

Thanks OP! Very relevant for me at the moment. Been trying to work out how to put the Sub and a Playbar to my Projector. (Have some vouchers to use too). I have ordered a 4-1 HDMI switch with optical audio out so hoping that connects to the Playbar and then it's all good from there. Anyone have experience with that?
