      • What if I receive the card after 28th of this month?
        I cannot get Destiny 2?

        • From the terms - "Destiny 2 game codes may only be redeemed until 30 days after PC launch date."

  • Also I'm after a 7700k, got any you can stick up? :D Thinking I might buy all the parts for my new build from you guys…

    • That we can't do. Did sell some when the ebay deal started, but we need tons for our usual builds/sales. Sorry.

      • +3

Any chance of the 7700K being in stock before the 20% off code expires?

  • Can I Click and collect at your store?

    • +1

Nope, or at least not for now. Thought about it but it creates some issues with logistics and so we have kept it simple. $15 flat courier shipping, Paypal only. Its eofy and the shop is clogged up, so its actually easier to ship at the moment.

May revisit the idea next month when we have time to polish up the ebay store further.

      • +2

It would be nice, feels strange to pay for courier shipping from the shop almost withing walking distance.

        • Agreed! Feels silly.

  • -2

would you give discount if i am to buy 8 of them?

    • +15

      No chance!

      • +1

        fine 9 then

      • +2

Come on! Help a reseller out.

      • I've just bought a ASUS gtx 1070 days ago from you, now you give me a more attractive deal. what should I do?

        • +1

          Regret browsing ozbargain?

  • Hi Rep,
Is pickup available to save on postage?
    Cheers.

  • -1

Hi can i buy and collect from your store? thanks

  • This is very good store, I bought my i7 7700K on the last eBay deal, received next day with a proper invoice-> on top a good customer service.
I also bought other PC components from other stores/sellers on eBay, and it was a struggle to get invoices, one of the sellers even did not know what an invoice is?

  • Wow. Awesome deal.

I bought the 970 a few months after its release. It kinda bums me out that one generation later and one step down, the 1060 beats the 970 already.

My 970 still holds off pretty well, I'll probably keep it for another generation or two. :)

  • Damn too bad there are no good sales for the acer x34 monitor :'(

    • +1

Exactly the monitor I will be using this on! See you in PU Battlegrounds, in 1440p glory

      • Im already there in x34 land muhahaha

  • op do you happen to have the non FE edition? I don't want to trust my ventilation with a FE and prefer an aftermarket cooler.

  • How come postage is $5 more on ebay than through the website?

    • +2

Different interface. At the moment the store freight system is more complex and works out cost based on your location. The flat fee on ebay is cheaper for most orders but not all so overall we are subsidising freight cost on ebay.

We may switch to the flat fee system on the web site at some stage, still seeing how ebay works out for us and whether it makes sense to bring the shipping systems in line.

      • +2

so overall we are subsidising freight cost on ebay.

I got a 43" monitor delivered to me for $15. It arrived the same day too. Thanks. :)

    • this freaking ebay deal is making me want to bite the bullet on an R7000 router to replace the one my ISP gave me….not that I even know if it will make my coverage better or not - but everyone else says so :P

      • do it

but buy a second hand one if u can to save even more $$$

  • Very nice card, great price just has heating problems.

    • +6

Heating solution, you mean? No need for that dodgy panel heater all throughout winter with this beast from ASUS heating your room! ;]

      • +3

I'm looking at this all wrong, I can save on heating. Better order two.

    • +1

      This.
Card is known to run very hot (82-87 degrees) and fan is incredibly loud under load.
If you are going to be using this for GPU intense purposes often then this probably isn't the card for you.

      • If you are going to be using this for GPU intense purposes often then this probably isn't the card for you.

        And if you aren't, maybe re-think your need for a $900 GPU…

  • Crap I really shouldn't have bought this but I guess I can sell my old 1070 that I got 6 months ago to recuperate some of the losses from this deal-
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/279100

    • I'll buy it off ya. Shoot me off a PM with a price you're willing to let it go for. Im in Sydney so can pickup

    • What are 2nd hand 1070s worth?

  • I can't buy it I keep getting the error "A seller made some changes to an item listing." anyone else having the same issue?

    • Same here… Just kept trying and eventually got it

      • +1

hmmm, that might be the guys putting up that destiny voucher thingy. I'll look into it.

        • Had to use a different ebay account to get passed it.

        • +1

Might be because that redemption thingy was changed while it was in your cart.

Anyone else having issues I would say remove from cart and add back in.

        • @Computer Alliance: I tried that and logging out and back in but couldnt get it working with that ebay account lol.

  • +2

If I wasn't waiting for Vega I'd handing over my credit card details

  • Great deal, now drop the price for your Zowie XL2411 so that we can fully utilise this card! :)

  • Whats the best budget graphics card to buy? Mid range?

    • what CPU are u running and what is your budget?

      • i5 7600, SSD.

As far as games, nothing yet but nothing high end and if so, i only have a Full HD monitor

        • NVIDIA 1060 or AMD R9 470, I couldn't see any current deals on those. Maybe someone else can.

        • +2

The sweet spot currently would be a 1060 or rx 470/570 for 1080p gaming

If i were you i'd try to buy second hand as costs for these cards can be quite inflated with the current mining craze

    • Monitor resolution? Games you play?

    • +1

Nothing right now. Mining boom has inflated prices crazily, and that's partly why we're so excited about a nine-hundred dollar graphics card.

  • I have been watching 1080tis closely and this is an amazing price. I'm looking to buy a 1080ti and a ROG swift pg278q but from reading reviews and some comments here this card get get very hot and loud with intense gaming.

So here's to hoping for another sub $900 1080ti soon or maybe I'll just wait and see what Vega has to offer.

  • bloody hell mate, you guys are fast, I ended up buying a MSI Gaming X like 40mins ago and got an email saying it's awaiting pick up! Kudos!

    • +2

…waiting pickup by courier. yep, getting them picked and packed asap. Guys will be here most of the night to keep up, pretty normal for eofy but the ebay orders on top of the usual are a bit of extra stress.

.. cries from warehouse at the moment that they are running out of boxes. Just Great. I suppose I better go unpack more stock to free up boxes!

  • Hey rep anything you can do on the aorus 1080 xtreme ti? - keen for the 150% power threshold, the cooler will be swapped for a water block. Seems to be a massive premium on this card in aus. Update: $1349 with CA on ebay. Best local price I can see is $1169 from an AU online seller. I'm ready to buy today! Update 2: Put a 1tb samsung evo 850 ssd up for a competitive price and ill add that too (none are listed with CA just now).

    • They are nice cards and we have some in stock, but they are not cheap.

We should be competitive but can't do anything spectacular price wise - $1094.20 with the 20% off deal. Best on static ice is $1249.

      • Was trying to avoid naming competitors - this is a great deal for people after a founders edition. $1169 at this site (second page in my google search for prices): http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/gigabyte-aorus-geforce…

        • +3

Appreciate not quoting the competition, but I'm not one to worry too much about the competition. I don't expect or want to be the cheapest on everything, not possible unless you want to go out of business.

Looks like they have that model over us for now, at least on their web site vrs ours….. But what can you buy it for? Them $1169 shop, or eBay, $1400 less 20%, us $1349 less 20%, = $1094.20. We win! Least for the next week.

        • @Computer Alliance: For the Aorus xtreme as at 5pm there will be other cheaper options with the Ebay 15% deal - lowest aus seller $1229 before discount comes to 1045. Note there are also aus sellers at 1269 and 1299 - there is a waterblock version of this card announced last few days.. Still open to a CA deal (and an SSD!) :)

Just saw Massdrop has the Aorus for ~$1050 and it comes with a Gigabyte PSU too… not sure if you'd want that but it adds to the deal. (Will require you plus one more to join the deal to activate that price)

You might have difficulty with warranty issues since they're US based though. Also realised you'd be paying GST on top of that price too. Maybe not so great.

  • Can't do 3 X 144hz with this card ;(

  • I'm am wishing you stocked EVGA as i am needing a second 1080ti black edition to finish my current build. But that is besides the point pretty decent prices across the board.

And as mentioned before by others. Thanks for not trying to dicksmith us all by jacking up the prices when these sales come around.

    • +1

Used to sell EVGA, and BFG for that matter, from the same small distie. Wasn't happy with them, cards more so than distie. lots failed. Warranty issues getting replacements. We stick to major manufacturers with a decent presence and support here nowadays. I'm not saying the brand is a issue now, have not sold them for 10 years, but thought you might be interested in why more substantial stores often avoid the niche brands. Comes down to manufacturer support.

You might notice our listings have full period warranties, something you don't want to do unless you are well backed, especially on video cards. A lot of competition try to limit their warranty support to one year.

      • Oh I understand completely, with the amount of cards I go through I tend to stick to the ones that have done me well over the years. Right now it's evga and asus, in the past 12 months the msi and gigabyte failures have reached double figures. Asus are good and I use them most of the time but for this particular build I chose the evga cards for looks plus the water blocks from phanteks looks amazing on them.

But I understand about the support thing some times they just can't seem to get it right ( had a gigabyte motherboard get rma'd last year 4 times over 2 months. One time even received my own defective original board back). If you could have a look at evga again they have changed their game from the old 2-5 series days.

  • darn, I am willing to trade in my Gigabyte SLI Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8G x2 for this :)

    • +1

Just because you don't want/like it, doesn't mean it's not suitable for others.

    • +1

Negs are for it not being a "deal" on said item, not because you personally aren't into that item.

  • 1060 or 1070 deal please!!!

  • +1

    wow… 196 units x 894.20 = $175,263 sold so far today as of 20:33:37 AEST….

    • +1

Ya, they are going faster than I expected. They are only a small fraction of the sales across our ebay listing, but its the biggest single item in $ terms by far.

There should be more stock through today, but not sure how many we can afford to let go through ebay at this stage, need to keep a significant number of high end cards for our system builds.

… too bad we didn't have time to to put up our full desktop configurations on eBay for this (custom desktops are our biggest seller)… next time.

  • +2

Ordered, 22 hours a day ZEC mining and 2 hours gaming, will pay for itself in 2 - 3 months :)

    • +1

      Electricity?

      • +1

Will see when I get it, low compared to the other 10 cards I'm running.

        • How much profit do u think u make from ur 10 cards, I am assuming they are R480s or 1070s? Do u have a custom rig build?

        • @overshopper:

          2 x custom rigs

          1 with 5 x RX570, soon to add 1 x RX470
          1 with 4 x GTX 1070, soon to add this GTX1080ti

Looking at $2200 per month currently, will increase with the new cards. Power usage around $260 per month.

I'm holding crypto in the hopes it will rise, and will then sell higher and hopefully make ROI next month.

        • +1

          @domingochavez: wow nice!

  • So desperately want a 1080ti, but prices for the decent ones is still too high :(

  • I was worried about buying PC parts due to the imminent change on import tax but with prices like this, I guess there's no need to worry.

  • Grabbed 4 for mining, cheers.

I really hope this isn't just the first shop to get a cheaper price from their supplier and all others will be under $900 next week as well…

    • pretty sure they won't until Sep 2017.

  • +2

    WOW, great deal, thanks!
I bought a RX480 last year, I am selling it (thanks to the coin miners) and getting this one. After the discount and tax deduction, I am almost getting this card for free.

  • Good lord. Is that The asking price for that gpu in oz? Seems like a great deal as other sites want an additional 300 on the ridiculous price

  • How's the Gigabyte version compared to this, considering this is now out of stock and the gigabyte version is only $80 more ($65 if you factor in shipping cost differences) from a different eBay seller.

  • Hey guys, do you offer a pick up option for those of us located in Brisbane?

  • +3

FYI chaps. We sold all stock we physically have in our warehouse yesterday. Most of the early orders should be going out this afternoon covered by that stock.

We ordered another large batch in through our usual disties yesterday that should have been in this afternoon, but we have been told this morning that their warehouse is about as insane as ours right now and they couldn't get them out yesterday. That means some of the later orders won't go till we get that stock, more likely tomorrow and possibly Friday dependning on when we receive the stock and how flogged our warehouse guys are at the time. I shall get my whip out.

You will see a con note once the order ships.

Also note a lot of people are submitting orders and then wanting a change of address or making other changes. That more of a pain that you might think, essentially involves cancelling the order and creating a new one with correct details through eBay and in some cases physically finding the order among 1000s ready to ship in the warehouse. It is no longer possible to order this card on eBay, so any changes at this stage means cancelling the order entirely. Any cards cancelled will not go back up on eBay, at least in the short term.

We may put the card back up before the promotion ends, but can't say for sure at this stage. Once we receive all stock expected from disties we will have some surplus, but we need to reserve some of those for our system builds, so will have to see how many are spare when the dust settles. Will do what we can.

    • Just noticed you have new 1070 in stock. Any chance you can better that price? No harm in asking right? :)

      • Never harm in asking, but no chance of discounting at the moment! I'm surprised any went up actually, purchasing guys must have rounded up another batch.

  • Do CA stock the G.SKILL Flare X F4-3200C14D-16GFX RAM? Only 1 seller that is participating in this sale seem to stock it but they are NZ based reseller :(

  • Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Only had a chance to hope on now …. damnit!

Hopefully there is a couple more!

    Will be monitoring this!

  • But I just bought a EVGA 1080Ti FTW3…

  • thanks, i bought a ch6 hero, 1700 and h100i saved about 140$ compared to pccg, just need memory and a 960 evo now :P

  • Damn. Looks like I missed out. Was going to get one to replace my R9 290 which my friends tell me is waaaay to old. This price plus tax depreciation and me going overseas in August would have made it a cheap purchase.

Hopefully you will get more stock.

  • Please give me hope!!!! 😜

    • 1 available now!!!! quick!!!

  • 1 available now!!!! quick!!!

  • Package already arrived, in Melbourne. Crazy fast!

Now, to get it into my Sugo SG05 :)

  • 1 More on ebay if anyone wants one. Be quick it won't last long (3 sold in one hour).

    • +1

I have let a trickle more go out last night and today, just one at a time. Won't be many more now, getting low and need to reserve some for builds.

Testing a system to limit bulk buys on these special deals to help spread them around, working well so far. eBay have no per item limits so had to figure a automated work around. Wish we have another few hundred cards, but already bought all available in Oz. There be no more. Pity.

We have some other 1080tis up there that are still solid deals with the 20% off, selling steadily and some models are gone now, but check out options if you want a top level card.
