      Games taking longer to play and learn so they need to be cheaper to get quicker uptake …. Also steam is an attractive option ……and cheaper than console versions.

          It is exactly that ycon, it's obviously a lot more fun with friends but you can explore the massive open world by yourself and offline.

          In all honesty, I did that up until 2 weeks ago but got sick of the game.. I took advantage of EB's E3 Trade offer with my LVL 4 card and received just under $40 for it. Decent value considering I spent $69 on it at launch. Now the wait for Destiny 2! Beta being next month!

    Far out I want Prey but I just bought Battlefield, Horizon and then Ghost Recon, plus there's crash bandicoot and I wanted to get Cod IW at $20 and maybe dishonoured, plus Deus Ex is like $15. Jeez man, remember like 4 years ago on last gen when Skyrim and Red Dead would still be $50 1 1/2 years after launch. Games never dropped then and now everything is cheap as chips.

        I am not sure what your point is. If I have two deals for an identical product and one is 20 or so dollars cheaper than the other, which one would you call the bargain: the cheaper one or the more expensive one?
        That is all I go by.
        Clearly the OP takes it very personally as if he owns Target or at least directly benefits from this (maybe he does - who knows) but it is nothing personal, just an objective comparison/assessment of which deal is the cheapest for a certain product.

      Must be negged? No one forces you to vote. The other deal you refer to doesn't have all the games op has listed. This deal is direct through Target. The other is through eBay.

        They are separate deals. 1 is for the console deal, the other ones are for separate games and purchases.
        Hence the console deals can be compared and the other is just cheaper. That's all.

          Mate, the main deal is the console bundle - it is not a small part but the main part (even if you count all three games listed together the combined value is only $102). Value-wise and it is also first in the post.

          The console is but one of many items listed. The OP also listed games in the title. In fact, the OP listed more games than consoles, so you could just as easily say that the games are the main part of the deal, they're just not listed first.

          I don't have a problem with people negging, but your comment "This deal is the same and cheaper. Hence this, according to the rules, must be negged." is ridiculous (and somewhat ironic considering now you're saying you want to vote freely, not that you must vote).

          First, just because something is cheaper, doesn't always mean it is the best deal, nor should it always be negged. Some people might prefer to pop into a store, and purchase an item. Some people might not have the time to wait for click and collect to be organised. For some people, for just a few dollars more, getting that console at that price might be a good deal for them. On top of that, the games seem to have good prices, so really, the neg is a bit over the top for them.

          So you're right. I don't like the neg. I think it's a poor neg, and what you posted with your neg wasn't as informative as it could be. You could have posted "You can get the console cheaper here" and people wouldn't have negged your comment, and you could have been informative at the same time.

          If I was you, write to the mods and ask them to get rid of the voting system as it seems that people who neg in accordance with the rules get bullied into oblivion so why not get rid of it altogether if it cannot be used anyway.

          Normally I would agree with you about the cheapest deal not being the best deal or even being a bargain. But this site has rules which clearly define such things (albeit indirectly) and do not forget: this is Ozbargain where the cheapest price is of paramount importance. Hell, people give away their personal data to get a free plastic ring sizer or cheap pen worth 20 cents at most.
          So, yes, on Ozbargain, if one deal is cheaper than another, the more expensive deal gets negged.

          Sorry.

          P.S.: And no, I do not agree with "digesting" all info and doing the thinking for people. Everybody on Ozbargain is smart enough to see which part of the deal I am comparing and which part I refer to being cheaper.
          Also, why don't you neg the OP of the cheaper deal who wrote "Same as this deal but 10% cheaper" - clearly he was not specific enough, right?
          And just to make it clear JUST FOR YOU: the neg refers to what I compare, the console deal ONLY, NOT the games.

          But in any case, something is really wrong on this site when people who neg according to the rules get bullied because of it and also the OP dishes out personal attacks immediately because someone else posted a cheaper deal (see below). That really is what you should focus your efforts and energy on in my opinion as that is a much more worrying issue and problem that should not be tolerated or rewarded.

    Guys, just be aware that Microsoft are having an xbox games sale starting soon with up to 65% off and an additional 10% on top of that for xbox live gold members.

    Not sure how the prices will compare, but they may be cheaper.
