I usually take a size UK 9 so I tried on XA Pro 3D shoe in store (they didnt stock the Speed Cross model) and found it to be a "snug fit" which apparently is a common comment with this brand (UK 9 = EUR 43 1/3, USA 9.5, Japan 27.5). Store catalog only lists sizes in UK.

I tried the UK 9.5 shoe and it felt much better as I do have a wide foot.

The last bargain was $119.95 and this price of $104 is a great deal if you like the blue colour.

Don't like paying $100+ for running shoes but this price is too good to resist. Pulled the trigger. Thanks OP.

These are great! I have a pair for field hockey.

  • Good for super flat feet?

I use these for hiking. As a commenter above suggested, go for a size bigger than normal as they are a snug fit. The quick-lace system is awesome :)

Good deal. The colour doesn't do much for me though. This model has a waterproof lining I believe, I had concerns over how breathable they would be if used for running.

    • Or hiking for that matter. I'd rather save a few grams and not get the waterproof lining. In my experience, I had a pair of North Face Goretex trail runners about 10 years ago that were super comfy but my feet would sweat like crazy in them. I replaced them with a pair of lightweight Merrell trail runners that weren't waterproof and the comfort level rose hugely as my feet stayed cooler and I didn't get nearly as many blisters over multi-day hikes. The durability of the soles on the Merrells left a lot to be desired though, which would also concern me with these Salomons given how aggressive they are

      • I have had no problems hiking with them when matched with wool socks. Not a single blister.

The tread is VERY aggressive though. If you have any considerable amount of paved path/road then I would look for something different, as this tread will wear very quickly. But for sandy/muddy trails the grip is awesome.

  • Sold out in 10.5, had in cart and then couldn't complete.

  • I got s pair if these from a sale in here for $75 from memory. Would not buy again even at that price. Just with regular use at the gym only, no running etc. The lips on the sole are starting to come away and once that goes they will not last long. And considering the minimal use, the tread wear is ridiculous. You'd swear I ran 50kms per day on the road.

My old asics kinsei 4's lasted 4 years with the exact same use, these will be lucky to last 18 months.
