        Oh…

    • Looks fine too me!ttyttt

  • +1

Cheapest ever? I personally will wait until price drops to $299 :).

    • +11

This must be your first Nintendo console!

      • The Wii hit what, $149 brand new? Or was the official price still higher?

        • +1

Yep, got mine for $170 at kmart.

    • Won't ever happen. Good luck waiting for an eternity, or maybe a used one for that price point.

  • +1

Got a $20 coupon code to bring it down to $353 but I'm just not interested in it enough

    • +4

Would help someone if you passed the coupon on!

      • +1

        Tied to account I think

        • sorry, my error

        • @mofell: COTD != Kogan!

    • care to share? please?

    • +6

but I'm just not interested in it enough

hardly any games out yet… also, having to fork out $80 for games that you already own on the Wii U is a bit of a rip-off.

  • Thanks OP!

  • Can claim TRS refund on GST?

    • Yes. Its aussie stock too.

So you will get an invoice with GST which you can use to claim for TRS

    • -2

Can claim TRS refund on GST?

Or you can claim the GST via your ABN.

  • So I'm a little lost. I have purchased and it has taken the money from my account but the Verification information to release my order isnt available until next business day. Does anyone know if Kogan will honour the purchase even if it isnt verified until Monday?

    • +4

      They did for me.

Shipping is two weeks from purchase though so don't expect it to arrive any time soon. Mine still hasn't been shipped from over a week ago so you have to question if they actually have stock in hand.

    sitll waiting from last deal.

  • +4

make sure to use a referral link above and create an account to save $10

  • anyone added the extra $4 shipping protection?

    • +7

No…and what's the point? If I don't get it or it's damaged, my credit card provider will sort it out

      • They usually don't count non receipt. And possibly not damage in transit (probably varies with cc providers). And if you use PayPal, only PayPal can sort it out because the agreement specifically excludes you from having your cc company do anything

So i don't know what your experience has been but others should be wary of your statement

        • +2

Well you paid to have the product delivered. If it doesnt make it to your door, then you paid for something you didnt receive, which makes the credit card provider liable.

Paying for shipping insurance is a con, you are paying for nothing a bit like those extended warranty deals many places offer.

        • @ninetyNineCents:

Nice theory. I doubt theres an ombudsman or person at the accc that would listen, so good luck with that.

(It's not like arguing warranty greater than 12 months based on item value, there's actually a proven history of that working…)

        • +1

          @justtoreply:

You must have a really scummy credit card provider if you believe the crap you're spouting about non-receipt…or you're just a sucker

Only PayPal can sort it out
          Wrong

Agreement specifically excludes you from having your cc doing anything…

LOL. Doesn't stop my credit card from doing so, and having done so. If PayPal thinks this particular exclusionary clause is binding…then they can try and enforce it in court after my good old credit card provider has taken my funds back.

        • @jenkemjunkie:

Read the PayPal t&c. Don't tell me it's wrong. Your cc provider isn't allowed to do anything under PayPal t&c

        • +1

          @justtoreply:

Doesn't stop them from doing so mate. My card provider has done so when PayPal try and hoodwink you into following their unjustified, non enforceable, unjust terms

But you're the sucker type that has a hard on for following the rules way too literally…you'll let companies walk all over you…whilst they skirt the rules all the time

PP can say whatever they like - they dont make the laws of this country.

If someone takes your money and doesnt provide the service or goods, then they must provide a refund otherwise its theft.

In both cases PP and the CC provider are both liable because they both took money and failed their end of the bargain.

Having said all this, twice ebay purchases didnt arrive and after losing to EB and PP, i simply complained to my cc at the bank and both times the two different banks gave me a full refund after a couple of days.

(It's not like arguing warranty greater than 12 months based on item value, there's actually a proven history of that working…)

Its the same because both are examples of Australian Law telling the company who is the boss.

Australian law says in cases of warranty - that waranty is at least 1 yr or a period of time most people would reasonably expect said product to work for.

Eg tvs typically get 1 year or so, however we all know its perfectly reasonable for a tv to work at least 5 years, so if your tv dies within that period, then complain and you will win. Therefore buying 3 years of extended warranty for a tv is completely stupid because you are paying for seomthing you are already assured by the government.

Got one thanks. Didn't see the $4 protection. Added the case and screen protector for $25 also.
