Does it come with the money and cards?

    • +5

Given that it is called a "magic wallet", a surprisingly legitimate question.

    • +1

It is not protected from eBay coupon code.

Sorry, give it another try now.
I made a mistake with setting the code.
I just did a trial checkout and worked for me.

The code doesn't work on the 'updated bifold card holder'. "Coupon code "5OFF" is not valid."

        • +1

It should, I just did a checkout and worked for me. try refreshing your browser?

          @closethedeal: Thanks, works now.

  • +1

That bifold looks like good value.

  • Purchased the updated wallet, thanks, was looking for new wallet with good storage for credit cards

Are these worthwhile? Is there an actual risk of having card info stolen without having one of these?

    • +2

No. The only thing it can protect from is accidental payment, if you are at the checkout counter and your wallet gets too close to the eftpos machine.

Close friend said she she got charged $2000 from Playstation store from someone that skimmed her card, curious to learn more as well.

      • +3

        That wasn't contactless skimming.
Yes, a criminal can read some bits of data from your card using contactless reader, but such data will be useless, definitely not enough to make purchases.

        • +2

Thanks so much! Any ideas why people keep reporting their cards have been skimmed?

Don't care about the RFID part but anyone got these wallets and can comment on quality?

    • +2

Check their post history and my comments about their belts. I doubt this is actual full grain leather. Would not recommend.

      • I had forgotten about that. I have revoked my vote.

  • If you already have a wallet, get the Kojo credit card defender slips. I have them and they work - tested.

  • Where do I enter the coupon code?

    • Dont worry. got one

  • I ordered the Bifold, but when I received the Paypal email, it says its the Magic wallet.

    Not sure what happened.

    Anyone else experienced this issue.

    • +1

OP - Why are you not replying to my message or email??

I need the Bifold wallet, not the magic wallet

Can you please respond to me.

  • i don't like the way the money is held !! by straps ☹.

    • You don't need to worry about the straps if you have no money! ::thinking::

      • True, as true ozbargainer I am not meant to have any money left to strap in the first place.

these aren't very good. They are essentially a few bits of leather held together by a flimsy piece of cloth. Def not worth $19 or even $14. I bought the same thing in a street market in Hong Kong for a few bucks.

RFID protection = thin sheet of kitchen aluminium sandwhiched in between the cardboard backing and the leather exterior. Presumably it doesn;t work if you leave your wallet folded the wrong way.

  • I found that the Al sheet works fine inside or out of the card, as long as they are close enough. The Al sheet disrupts the magnetic field just enough to stop the signal
