I called Cellarmasters before I posted to confirm this, and was told that's the offer expiry date, not the BB date. I have my doubts though.

Probably a poor example. You may find it great value but a $75 carton isn't really an inexpensive beer
@4agte: Not a poor example at all. Each IPA can has ~2x the amount of alcohol content of a bottle of crown lager.
So in alcohol content value, If you think this is a good deal, you will find Rocks IPA a good deal. A slab of IPA = 2x slab of Crown lager in alcohol content.
Taste wise, the IPA has a much much much more complicated flavor profile to Crown.
Essential you're paying the same price for a much better beer.

Yeah OK - I get that now! Thought it was too good to be true going for that long! Peeps must be slowing down in their beer drinking habits these days if they are offloading a common brand beer with less than a month to go for BB date. I would've thought that there wouldn't have been any left after Christmas with this BB date in warehouses.

Yes ordered 2 both on seperate orders , when I spoke to them they said they have run out and can't fill all orders , now I see its back on sale but with a delivery charge, will call them again as they have refunded my PayPal part but not my gift card .
On phone to them now , they said definitely out of stock and a web issue all orders will be cancelled.
Now checking how can I get my money back from gift card

Couldn't really tell you haha it tasted fine to me. I haven't had a crownie in a few years so can't compare.
Mine tasted fine, maybe a little weak but that's pretty normal for Crown Lager I think?
Mine didn't have much of a head to them though. Really need to pour fast out of the bottle to get any head. Is this the same for everyone?
Temperature changes over the life of the bottling and it probably lost some co2 gas from under the cap
