It's a pretty underwhelming wheel for $15. Apparently, it was originally meant to be twice as high as it is now… a little shorter than the London Eye. That would have been worth $15. This is half the height, so half price sounds about right :)

So, the brisbane wheel is still there? I had heard that the surfers paradise "eye" ferris wheel that opened last week is the one from southbank? Not sure?? Can anyone confirm that the southbank ferris wheel is still there? I'm on the gold coast. Thanks.
Can't comment on one at Surfers Paradise, but the Southbank one was still definitely there and operating at the weekend when I went past.

I'm in Brisbane and i've never gone on it. Wasn't aware of the price, but i thought that i heard it was a bit over priced.
