  • More expensive than 1cover worldcover for local travel. Rental excess is only $3000. Upgrading covered items is very expensive.

  • I have been told it is much cheaper if you go to a Austpost outlet inperson, around $6 a day

    • +1

do you really need travel insurance just to vist your local post office?

  • Not a bargain if it ends up costing you more…

  • Insureandgo with "Groupon20" for 20% discount, maybe cheaper!

  • If you have a credit card like say a Westpac black or platinum altitude card then you have free travel insurance built into it that Choice recommends over paid insurance also if you have a read here at the SMH/Age travel section they basically say the same thing. Which is to think seriously about whether you actually need paid travel insurance if you have a credit card.
Certainly worth doing your research and of cause reading every little bit of the T&C's.

We're heading off for 2 months euro travel shortly and the Westpac free insurance has everything we need (we hope!) with 5k worth of rental excess for instance amongst other benefits.
