Why? I've had the original one for two years and it's great. Wear it in the shower, pool, surf and never any issues. Always have my phone with me for hiking and exercise so I always get gps maps of workouts anyway.

38mm only AUD10 more than the same one on US refurb store. That’s a great price. 42mm is AUD35 more.
Are they still making the mk1 or just have huge warehouses full of unsold ones ?
Are you asking about the S0? These ones are the S1 and S2.
Both Series 1 and Series 2 are still made and are current models.

I have used mine every day for 2 years and still love it. I only use it for time/notifications and tracking workouts. I don't use 'apps' or anything they tried to sell it as doing. For what I use it for and how much I use it I definitely love it and would buy another.
Im personally waiting for the series 3, shouldnt be too long now.

Apple Watch Series 2 is still normal price. Even with price reduction I greatly recommend Series 2.
