I thought ill make one combined post for pre owned handsets and new genuine Samsung accessories & see if you guys are interested in it. We have never sold pre owned handsets here on ozb but i felt like posting this here since these handsets are practically new & have atleast 12 month Samsung Australia warranty & Sony Australia Warranty respectively.     Finally got my hands on the S7 Edge. Got offered the silver version because they didn't have any black ones in perfect condition left. Got to say, I'm pretty impressed. No scratches, marks or anything on my unit. Feels like a brand new phone. Thank you erroorfree and Phonebot! Hopefully there are no issues with the device, but if there are, I'm confident Phonebot will be easy to deal with as they have been throughout the buying process.

    I'm not the lucky one, the silver s7 received has 3mm dent on one corner, top and bottom of front glass has scratches, lots of scratches around the charging port, flash and heart rate sensor, the back glass has light scratches. overall, the condition of device has not matched as their claimed "new and no or minimal scratches". Meanwhile, the charger and cable are not genuine SAMSUNG accessories. definitely it is not fast charger as their claimed.

  • This is my experience with Phonebot:

    • Placed order and paid for black S7 on 19/7.
      No confirmation email or communication at all until 24/7.
    • Then nothing until phone call on 28/7 saying out of stock of black (9 days after payment made!)
    • So I requested a refund which was confirmed over the phone.
    • My order was marked as 'Refunded' straight away on 'My Order History'.
    • No further communication from Phonebot.
    • And my money still not refunded.

    What is going on??
    Rep please follow this up as you have held my money now for over 13 days.

      i just emailed you with the screenshot. The problem is at paypal's end. If the funds are not in paypal balance, they debit it from the account, which takes 2-3 days, and then process your refund. Please check your email, i just forwarded you a screenshot. My manager processed a refund same day he spoke to you

        Some feedback for the future would be to improve your communication to your customers.
        Having made a $400 purchase is a big deal and we deserve to be kept in the loop at all stages of the transaction or refund process (payment received, order shipped etc)
        Its poor form when the customer has to call up themselves to get an update.

I was asked to wait for few days, then said wait again, then said your comments are condescending(asking for discount for the delay as I purchased almost 9 days ago) and said they will refund(a typical way of runnung away from responsibility in garb of small business narrative - bs). Anyway was happy for refund but money not refunded yet. What a piece of joke these guys are. Stay away from phonebot.

      After continuous communication and keeping you in loop, this is what you emailed due to which my manager decided to cancel your order :

      This week is gone again and there is no communication on the shipment. What a pathetic service you guys are offering. You can't give discount for such a delay, you can't give TOA. What kind of retail agency are you trying to run mate?

      After cancellation, this was another offensive and bullying email from you

      Oh really Adam? Really? Condescending? Really? What a piece of BS you are telling me now just to buy more time and apparently when things may not have worked the way you wanted you decided to cancel the order. Really? Learn how to run a business mate. I have co-operated with you guys for a fair level but how come you have my order more almost 10 days and you have not been able to get it ready for shipment. Stop taking the siege behind the veil of running a small business and being hardworking when you are not. If you can't do it right then no matter if it is a small or bigg business you cant do it at all. Thank you for wasting my time, you discourteous retailer. I will put my feedback on Social Media accordingly.

    • Not atm mate. Dual sims are mostly overseas handsets and we stay away from overseas units due to warranty issues. Have you checked gearbest or sites like DHgate or android enjoyed? They take ages to ship though

    My work mate just got the Samsung S7 Gold for his wife as a gift (was in terrific condition!) would the Sony's be in the same nick?

        Especially if they are unlocked (the S7 was optus - something that wasn't mentioned on here anywhere)

        • no worries man. Yah some stock had optus bloatware on it which i wasnt aware of, but it is definitely unlocked

        • The S7 I got was unlocked, it just had the Optus branded firmware (No bloat, just Optus instead of Samsung boot and shutdown animations and a removable Optus app). Popped a Kogan (Vodafone) sim in with no problems. 3 days later I reflashed it with Samsung's unbranded Australian (XSA) firmware. The phone has been working great.

        • @Thrift: haha thats awesome man. do you know about custom boot animations? like can i use my dog as boot logo on s7 :)

        • @Thrift: I was going to flash mine but that would break the Samsung warranty!

        • @MohammadG: ahh no it won't. It doesn't trip Knox and you could always flash back to what it was. You could even get it flashed at same Samsung stores I believe to XSA

        • @MohammadG: It doesn't if you just flash to an official Samsung Australian firmware TEL (Telstra), OPS (Optus), VAU (Vodafone) or XSA (unbranded), no rooting or fiddling involved. I don't know if there's any real advantage, I think Optus even got the July security update out earlier by a few days than XSA.

        • @erroorfree: You could make a custom boot animation, but there's a bit of fiddling to get it into the QMG format that Samsung use. (Plain Android simply uses a sequence of PNG/JPG images.)

    -I purchased and ordered a black s7 on 19/07/2017
    -waited a week, sent an email - email reply from errorfree said it was shipped on the 21/07/2017
    -ok waited another week- sent another email - got a phone call- said black is out of stock- pick grey or gold or refund.
    -ok picked grey s7
    -called the next day to ask when could i get this grey s7- he said "next Monday- express delivery (Monday 7th August)"

    -tried to call phonebot number today(st kilda)- no answer
    sent an email- awaiting reply

    It has been 3 weeks. Can you fix this @erroorfree
