GARMIN Oregon 450T Handheld GPS $549 at DSE including free delivery - Online Only

60

I'm thinking this price may be an error, because I rang a store and they said it should be $749, but that they would honour the price until it's corrected. Next best price on StaticIce is $664.

EDIT: Just noticed that DSE have another link to the same unit with the increased price http://tinyurl.com/28zf3jw so be quick!

  • It is intentional but it is intended to be an online deal only :)

See http://www.lasoo.com.au/catalogue/dick-smith-catalogue-deals… for details - on page 19, the final page.

It's a great price but I personally can't justify it I've been shopping around and the basic version + a map is just as good lol and saves alot of cash but hey that's just me

i been use $99 GPS for 1 year now and no complain about it. So i don't see why pay $749. it's just too expensive

This isn't a website for personal opinions about products. Weather you like the product or not it has been found for a lower than standard price qualifying it as a bargain…
So no complain about it. I don't see why neg.

    • but seriously…the brand 'garmin' justifies its price. it really is better than everything else. This is great for geocaching btw. if anyone is into that stuff.

    • Please compare apples for apples!

    • Linkyou, your opinion on a $99 toy compared to this counts for little. Your reason for voting negative is totally flawed and unreasonable. And by the way, the price is $549, not $749.

    • linkyou, your personal opinion is not a reason to vote negative on a deal. Please read the voting guidelines.

      Negative revoked.

  • great bargain, much cheaper than an iphone + a navigation app which can be $800+.

negative from me since the dse i talked to in sydney said they wont honour the mistake. how can this be a bargain when they admit their mistake?.

    • May not honour at store, but You can still order them from the wesbite now!

    • what mistake??
The catalogue clearly states 'online exclusive deals'

    • jruban, if you want it, why don't you just order it online and get it delivered free of charge! Sick of people like you voting negative on genuine bargains without doing a little research first.

    • jruban, I've edited the title to 'online only'. Since the post has been corrected, i'll be revoking your negative as per the voting guidelines.

Moderator, can you please remove the negatives on this deal as it is quite obviously a bargain. The reasons given for the negative votes are both very opinionated and lack research.

  • Why do we use staticice here ? Is this computer stuff?
    Try this one http://www.shopbot.com.au/pp-garmin-oregon-450t-price-230520…
Next best price - $579 at Johnny Appleseed GPS. However you get professional advice besides manual for your money.
So, technically it is 6.95% (incl shipping if you need one)cheaper than other on the market.
This is my research. Is it bargain?

    • savit, not sure if you can read or not, but this is still $30 cheaper, which includes free delivery, than all your 'research'. So yes, definitely a bargain.

  • Thanks moderator.

  • What does this $549 gps do that a $150 one doesn't? Just curious.

  • tightarse, don't take it personal, try to collect the votes without moderator and let people decide whether it is bargain or just another 'bargain'.

    • 2 negs equals a five day ban from posting…….no one likes to be banned

      • savit & andy, I'm not here to collect plaudits from either of you, and I couldn't care less if I was banned for legitimate reasons, but rules are rules.

        • no plaudit intended….just an opportunity to again address the mistaken belief that negging a post has no implications for the OP. A user negged twice, (be they justified negs or not), will be prevented from fully participating in the community for 5 days.

          • @andy19363: So your sole intention in voting negative is to prevent genuine contributors from fully participating in 'the community' for 5 days? Get a life.

            • @tightarse: I think you'll find I haven't voted at all on this deal….I have no idea if it's a bargain or not. Hence no vote.
I did however, report both negs on this post to the mods as inappropriate, as I do not want to see genuine contributors unable to participate in the community for five days.

              I should probably get a life…..
