  • What are these for?

    • +1

Used to insulate wires, usually when you are repairing or bundling wires. Useful for when you have fray cables.

    • +1

they're used to cover electrical wires usually when joining them.

e.g. if you've got two wires to join, you slide one of these over & up one of the wires, remove about 1cm of insultation from each end of the wires, solder the wires together, then you slide one of these over the join, apply heat & it shrinks & holds it together. It gives the join a bit of extra strength & insulates the wire.

Not quite true, I used to use these a lot to repair and join wires together. They don't give you extra strength but it is essential for insulation. You better off buy a long tube and cut to the size you want then buy all these little pieces that you may never use.

Do you stock any higher ratio heat shrink such as 4:1?

    • agreed 2:1 is very limited use, 4:1 is much better

How on earth is 2:1 limited use?
How on earth is 4:1 much better?
Using your logic 6:1 is better again.

Each has it's place but 2:1 is suited for nearly every usage hence why it's the most common. 3:1 to 6:1 is suitable for irregular sized wires being joined.

  • does it come with a box?

    • Yes.

  • Check Banggood too, got this set for cheaper a while ago in a sale.
