        they're not really big anymore lol, they have recently reduced the weight (again) so it's like… 175g now… used to be 200g, and a few years ago 230g

          Big bags now are called "value pack" or something. Saw it in Sydney Woolworths. I think they are 300 gr, if I recall it right. Was on special last week at Woolies.

            @vwh: Yeah, over the past decade they've gradually reduced the size of the big bag from 250g down to 175g, so that now they can reintroduce an actual big bag for a bigger price.

    Great work - Enjoy your "Half Price Specials" while they last! Once Aldi & Costco are out of business, you'll be paying full (i.e. Ripoff Oz) prices again. Just sayin' :)

      Nah, the stuff I buy at Aldi is different from the specials I buy at Coles. I don't buy potatoes, veges and meat at Coles. Some stuff I cannot get at Aldi, e.g. breadmaker mix. When I do buy at Coles, like Pepsi or icecream, I head straight out via the self-serve checkouts and ignore all the other inducements.

      Aldi's doing fine as far as I can tell. Expanding even. More power to them.

      You just have to know how to work the system.
