I went to buy an iPhone SE for a friend. Was going for unlocked but she was already with Optus saw this on the counter.
This was BigW in WA so may not be National

      The guts of it are one generation behind the latest model and some actually prefer the smaller form factor. So the RRP of $679 is pretty reasonable on balance.

        I'm not an Apple guy anyway so I didn't really have any plans to use it and probably would have just flipped it so I guess that's karma. :)

    I went from iPhone 6+ to SE. Didn't like the smaller size initially but now loved it. Get used to the smaller screen no problems. Most important is I need to carry the phone WHEREVER I go (work requirement) so can easily fit into my pocket.

    Was at Big W QV in Melbourne for something else. Someone called the store to mention about this deal while I was there. The employee was checking with the manager to see if this is allowed at their store. They haven't reached any conclusion yet. Probably worth heading down to the store to give it a crack. I think the store employee was opening ozbargain on his phone to check if their store is listed in the price override.

      I tried this and couldn’t get an answer all morning! And I watched as they brought the 4 they showed in stock out the front.. I really wanted 2 but my conscience wouldn’t let me, I’d have had to look someone in the eye and say they weren’t getting one and I have a soul. Surely they didn’t give you two? Don’t get me wrong - it doesnt really bother me and I’m not at all trying to give you a guilt trip - but there were a dozen people in line who missed out who got up early and probably deserved them fair and square…

      Very lucky either way!! Congrats mate, you didn’t want to actually be there! :P
