  • how's this seller compared to quality deals?

    • +6

ShoppingSquare is Australian sellers, we provide service and warranty locally.

And one more thing, that's I'm here to help ozbargainers if you got any problem with your orders. ;)

      • Do ACL terms apply with respect the Durability of Goods?

        • ACL terms is applied for all the goods provide Australian Sellers.

        • @danilochan: Rep how about a good deal on the S8+ 6GB 128GB Dual sim model at below $900 after PLENTY coupon.

      • +1

Last time I tried to order something from you, it took you 2 weeks to process the order, 3 days to dispatch, 5 weeks to lost the parcel during the transit and 3 weeks to refund me. Very impresive experience. I will remember this excellent :)

        • +1

That sucks! 11 items purchased from them with no issues here

fine print at the very bottom of the page:
***** Package may be opened for random checking before dispatch.
****** Unit may contain bonus pre-installed apps from the original region.
so is it sealed? eBay Brand New condition means "A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable). Packaging should be the same as what is available in a retail store, unless the item was packaged by the manufacturer in non-retail packaging, such as an unprinted box or plastic bag"

box open and things like that are normal for buying grey. well, sometimes, not always but not uncommon.

other option is buy locally with inflated price and make Mr. Harvey richer

    • +1

It's iffy with phones because IIRC Samsung and some others require 5 minutes (total) of calls with a SIM in the original region before it's unlocked. So they have to open the box to unlock it first.

      • That sounds interesting. Source?

        • +1

It was mentioned in this deal, with a link to an article to specific instructions

  • +5

Not that it's necessarily a deal breaker, because we SHOULD all know these are grey import by now - but it's a bit concerning that you haven't actually listed the variant's model number that you're actually selling. Are these powered by a Snapdragon, or a Exynos like local stock?

People without the knowledge wouldn't know that these are different internally to our local stock, which is kind of deceptive in my opinion.

    • Agree with you but those without the knowledge probably also don't care enough about the potential difference too.

    • States in the ad these are SM-G955

      • +1

Which is the blanket model for ALL variants. Around the world, they have letters after the G955. For example - the Australian model is G955F.

    • OP won't know whether it's Snapdragon or a Exynos, they just put the order through to HK warehouse and whatever stock they have is sent out to you. Very little difference anyways, without benching no one would notice the difference anyways. Really the only concern with these grey imports, as long as you are buying from reputable sellers, is obviously warranty (they probably provide lesser warranty, i.e. one year rather than two) as Samsung won't touch them (you can't even pay them to touch them apparently), and also what other rubbish comes installed on them.

      • I'd say band support is the most important difference.

      • That is, correct. Got told to go away after trying get them to fix my phone. Samsung Australia do not want to Know you if it's not an Aussie stick phone

  • Would love to pick up the S8+ 128GB China model as it has all same bands as AUS for under $900!

    • link.?

      • Haven't seen one yet. But I'm holding out for one.

  • Delivery is significantly longer than the previous deal, is it the same for everyone or just me?

  • +1

The market is so competitive. They need to start offering Free DHL express in order to win business from QD/or other seller.

  • What is the model number please so I can check out of frequency bands

  • how does this one fare compared to the QD one?

  • So what is the lowest price at the moment for the 128GB S8 + that is available?

  • +3

I will never ever buy from this seller again. They took money fast and then when you have the problem they took as long as they can. They told me my phone will need to be repaired under warranty, until now has 2 months 2 weeks and i have no answer. I have no idea what shud i do now. I sent them message and then nothing happened.

    • This seller must sell an enormous amount of goods, and some of us have bad experiences, but overall I think they are good. I received my S8+ with about 12 dead pixels unfortunately. It took a week to send back (reply paid not at my cost which is good - However, because there is no tracking, it could have easily been lost. Anyone using the free Reply Paid service via Australia Post can pay a small extra fee for a return tracking number to cover them - I will do this next time)and thankfully I received confirmation after raising a ticket. It helps to sign into Shopping Square site and raise a ticket - I have raised quite a few and they have always been answered within a day or two max. It then took about 1.5-2 weeks for my replacement to arrive, so I did get a Brand new replacement, but it will take a little longer than usual. I guess that is what you risk by paying for a grey import phone from a company that regularly sell it cheaper than anyone else. Daniel, the SS Rep was helpful too, just an FYI.

I love the S8+ phone, best phone out there in my opinion. After much research I bought the Clayco Hera case from Amazon (Had a relative in the USA to be able to send it to me, as they dont ship to AU for this item). Awesome case for full 360' Coverage. No sensitivity issues for me with the front cover protection - looks great. It does add a little bulk but thats to be expected, I recommend it.

It appears this case can now be bought from AU seller!!

      • So you were one of the lucky ones ^_^. I shud search feedbacks and reviews bbefore pulled the trigger. Until now i still have not received any news or messages from support team - the last messgae i got from them is asking me keep waiting, the phone is being repaired (i created a ticket via my account with SQ). Can you tell me what shud i do next??? :))

        • @danilochan should be able to help u out. He was helpful with me. send him a msg.

  • Can you put the same list price on shoppingsquareaustralia eBay? Surely the source is the same.

  • What model is this and what frequencies does it support?

    • Read previous replies.

  • Has anyone's been posted yet? The status on mine still shows "Paid"
