Doesn't seem like 25% off to me

Yes you are correct, imagine that, they changed the RRP from $599 to $499 after I posted the deal. Still an amazing price for an amazing not fake hair dryer.

+1 for rrp, not really an amazing price IMO. I'll stick to using a towel

      • The RRP is always $499, the only time when it was $599 is during the special Mother's Day promo.

Sorry just used the info I had at time. I haven't been following the price movements on this awesome hair dryer https://m.imgur.com/Gja6zRt

          @worker:

I know :) Just advising people who may be misled by the discount.

        • Actually the RRP was originally $599 when they were exclusive to Myers/David Jones, it got lowered when they released to be sold to Harvey Normans and other Retailers as well. $599 during mothers day promotion comes with a limited edition pink case.

Well word on the street is that its actually is, 'the hairdryer of all hairdryers'….

That price seems like one of the best going :)

Thanks OP. Bought 5, my hair is soo precious and totally deserves a dryer like this one.

Can buy about 6 30cm pedestial fans from bunnings for $100. Surely that would dry hair faster if positioned around a person?
    ;)

Nop, not practical, cant carry in the bag and show it to your gfs ;)

  • Curious - anyone used this hair dryer that has thick hair?

I have extremely thick hair. Doesn't help that it's rather curly and long as well. As a result I never bother blow drying it myself but is this hair dryer really that great? Should I invest…?? My hair is a struggle to manage.

    • Invest in a clipper, problem solved …j/k.

      But hey its 25% off.

Why not go try it out at the shop? I played with a demo at Myers the other day. Definitely powerful, but can't comment on whether it fits the price tag.

      • Does it feel different compared to other hair dryer?

        • IMHO, it doesn't feel better than a Parlux hairdryer. And as for feel itself, still just blows hot air at your hair (;

i bought one for mu wife, this dryer saved 50% of time.

Hey, I have thick wavy hair past my hips & got to try this out at VFNO in Sydney when it launched last year. I quietly asked the hairdresser who was styling my hair what they really thought of the Dyson bc I thought it didn't feel as efficient as my Parlux - they agreed.
As for whether it's worth blow drying, I still rarely do the whole head (maybe 6x/yr) bc I'd rather let it dry naturally, but my hairdresser has recommended roughly drying my roots to prevent them sitting wet against my scalp (for scalp health) so I do that now. Probably could get away with an even cheaper dryer for this purpose but I scored my Parlux for ~$160, >5y ago, & I can dry my whole mane in ~20mins incl smoothing & roughly straightening if I want.. oh, and it's still going strong (:

Hope that helps answer your Q!

      • That really helps! Thanks :)

    Supersonic

Does it cause a sonic boom? Would be a bit deafening.

    • But your hair will be dry in a split second!

      • Dried in a split, with split ends?

Try this super effective hair dryer-

Dried my air in a matter of seconds. And it's an eight of the price!

    • Dried or fried?

I looked at the picture, thought "wow, cool earphones!" and bought one..
Now what am I supposed to do with the fricken hair dryer, I don't have any hair!

    • You could use it to heat you home :)

  • takes 5 minutes to dry long hair and it's worth it for the PID that limits overheating of the hair

  • At first I thought they were earphones from the pic.

  • It's actually a decent hairdryer. I bought one for the wife when it launched and it's great. Only thing I'd say is it's not as quiet as the advertisements made it out to be.

  • What else can it do besides drying hair?

  • With that price tag, I expect a lifetime warranty, or 10 years at least.

  • Girlfriend pays RRP and swears by this does the best job for blow drying her cat out after a bath - period.

  • +1

Imagine being this salty about a hairdryer. Girl get out once in a while.
