      Thats a different product. You should read the deals first.

      • I did. My second link is the identical product. Been free for at least 7 months.

        • Cant deals be posted again after acertain amount of time?

          @suicine94:
          The tablet and phone Sims are the same product.

          @nocure:

          Nope go to the teltra shop page. Its 2 seperate items that you can purchase just like the $10, $30, $50 packs.

          @suicine94:
          Nope. Once you throw away the packaging, it's same SIM inside. Use depends on user activation.

          It's just marketing - people with a tablet want a "tablet" SIM. Discussed in other Telstra SIM deals.

        • @suicine94:
          This is old offer marked as LONG RUNNING DEALS so won't need reposting.

    • Agreed tightarse. I ordered a sim yesterday after seeing the post from last year for the free SIM starter pack. That deal is still active.

  • Delivery is pain the the nut.. Must need signature on delivery and if you're unlucky courier will take pic of your id

    • What?

    • Has this actually happened to you?

    • Pic of id.. Why is that an issue?

      • +1

        potential identity theft.

        They're supposed to sight it only

    • I ordered free sim couple weeks back. Telstra used delivery service called Zoom2u and they attempted delivery twice while i was away from home. Some dude from brightstarcorp called/emailed me regarding my telstra order, left a voicemsg for me to call back urgently.. Asked me what time i'll be home receive my order and said must present ID and i said OK.
      Courier guy came and told me code didn't match but my ID name did, yet still reluctant to give the package- he called the telstra/brightstarcorp guy and told him to take picture of driver license and signature in order for me to take the package.

      I told courier guy this is a freaking free sim why all the flippin fuss? his reply was 'it's telstra fault for being pain in the arse'

      • You must have been very unlucky. I ordered one yesterday and surprisingly when I woke up this morning it was under my front door. I was expecting a lot of trouble but the process could not have been anymore easier and quicker for me.

      • man that sounds very sus, i'd bang a mail off to telstra to confirm they can do this..

        • I emailed the guy from telstra brightstarcorp and below was his response when i enquired about why ID verification picture was needed for the free sim..

          ''Please note this is a process that has been in place for Telstra customers. The photo of the ID was taken as this is for Telstra team to view and have these details on file. Unfortunately this is the process for the business units the order was placed through at the time.

          For more information please speak to Telstra customer service.''

        • @dingdong3000: sounds like gooblygok, I can't imagine the receptionist at work is very happy to have her photo taken when receiving goods…

  • Anyone having trouble connecting with telstra air now? Despite it working in the past

    • I've got Telstra Prepaid, do I have access to telstra air?

      • i bought one of those $2 sim cards and got access for about 4 months, but now its not connecting

        • You need the new batch in my deal

        • +1

          @suicine94:
          i'm afraid it has nothing to do with batch, you must have a proper recharge to use telstra air now, a cm2u won't count. Telstra is plugging all loopholes lately

    • +3

      Best cheapest way to access Telstra Air is to activate a discounted $30 starter kit on long life to give you 6 months access to telstra air

  • I received on last week and it connects intermittently. Not sure if that is because of the sketchy range in a country town or not though.

  • Is it possible to get this SIM and use it for moving to a Telstra post-paid plan from Amaysim?

  • Can I order this sim and use it to register to Telstra Thanks?

  • can i activate this without putting credit on it?
