  • Is the camera good on these? My china phone camera is Larry and blurry af

    • Some reviews said, it is not good as Mi5s

  • If that code is expired, here it is @ AU$529 from Xiaomi's official Aliexpress store:

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Xiaomi-Mi-6-Mi6-Mi6-6GB-64GB…

And it's $537 for the same package as the OP's link.

    • $488.60 from Gearbest with Mi6YTB20 code

      • Yes, but the code is only valid for 30 uses.

    • There isn't an official Xiaomi Aliexpress store… It's an elaborate ruse.
There are heaps that say there are, but they, you know… aren't.

This is the Mi site: http://www.mi.com/en/ and you can see how fancy it is… The Ali store is simply a reseller.

Seems to have many votes and a good rating, on Ali, whatever that's worth.

      • Aliexpress have previously promoted that store as being official in major sales, so I'd be shocked if I've gotten the wrong impression.

It's also listed as a top seller, which means it's either Xiaomi's Mi Store, or it's an authorised reseller.

        • It's just that there seems to be absolutely no information anywhere about the existence of an offical Xiaomi Aliexpress store, and there are threads in the MIUI forums that are still asking for there to be a Xiaomi store on Ali.

          Reddit says this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/wiki/general/purchase
Has links to some "Official Channels" - there is no Ali store listed, but they do promote Hongkong Goldway, Dreami, Xiaomi MC Store and Xiaomi Online Store on AliExpress

Someone commented this way: "According to Aliexpress, it is supposedly the official store, but it won't show up if you search xiaomi, like when you search Asus, Cubot or Bluedio on the app."

When you type "Asus" into Ali, you get an "Official Store" first result… When you type in "Xiaomi" or "Xiao Mi" you get nothing of the sort.

A lot of the sellers have "Official" or "Authorised" - but also, what does that really mean in the context of Ali Express/China? That someone bought stock from Xiaomi once?

Anyway, I'd be wary, and stick to the sellers that have real reports of deliveries.

I'm not saying that this isn't a legitimate store, but this cannot be an "Official" presence, and I'd be careful. It does have good ratings, as I mentioned in my last post, but I'd definitely buy from the other stores listed near the beginning of my reply.

        • @Droz: their Top store process seems to be akin to being a verified store, and that seems to be reflected in their ratings.

All of this is for little anyway, because aside from DoA verfication there's little warranty support that doesn't involve freight back, though I'm not sure how much cheaper that's become since Aliexpress set up locally.

          @jasswolf:

They set up locally? Here in Australia? Wow! I did not know that at all. I'll try and read about it

  • Just be careful - if your company uses any MDM (Good / AirWatch) it wont work with the Mi6 .

While i like the phone itself, I have some regrets since I can't get outlook working natively.

    • What are you talking about? I had AirWatch working on my Redmi Note 3.

  • +1

The code Mi6YTB20 does indeed allow me check out at $488.60 which I believe is as cheap as it has been for a global ROM at 64gb.

Also you get free Priority Line shipping of 7-15 days with tracking number.

    Thanks Gearbest and Solidsnake!

    • Is the box has been opened and flash the international/custom ROM in? Or it comes with original Chinese Rom? Thanks

      • It says international version. In fact the hardware specs are exactly the same, it's just the ROM. You can flush it yourself.

        • While the Mi 6 is splash proof, I still wouldn't recommend you drop it in the toilet.

  • Mi 6 and the Mi 5X are good phones with reasonable price. I really like to buy a Mi 6 as my backup phone (dual SIM) - I used to use Nexus (S, 4, 5, 5X - almost each has its own problems, the 5X bricked due to a hardware fault), cheap Nexus and expensive Pixel, no more. Will most likely buy a white one ;-)

    Thanks!

    For slightly more off:

Checkout as USD and use PAYPAL to convert the currency to AUD. It's a better conversion rate.
Top right corner of the site - Ship to Australia but change currency to USD.

  • Code does not work for : 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM version

If you have 28degree card, USD$375 works out to just AUD$476.66. Just ordered one, thanks OP.

Just used the $10 saved and got a bumper case :p

  • Ahhhhhh. Is this deal end? I want to buy. Going to China this week. Would be nice to pick up from the hotel

    • No still going one the same deal…

  • The code still works.

If you have applied the code and went through checkout (but did not pay) the item will remain as Unpaid in my orders

If this happens, you will no longer be able to use the code anymore. You will have to pay for the unpaid item in the link above.
