    Hi BluBoy,

    This model does come with a swivel stand supplied. There is also an optional base (that looks slightly better) that you can purchase (SU46/40NX1) but this is not required. Rest assured, it will stand up with the supplied stand :)

    for a better deal David Jones are doing the 40" with a 120GB PS3 for $1499, or the 40" with a PS3 for $2099

    as for the stand…They come on a standard stand, but the silver one you see on the photos is an optional extra.
