Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (32GB, Gold, Australian Model) $699 with Free Shipping @ Dick Smith / Kogan

120

Not a bad price for
a) aussie model (no warranty dramas) and
b) edge model (bigger battery even if your not a fan of the edge screen)

seems to be only available in the gold colour.

Price has fluctuated in the last fortnight from $699 with free ship, to $739 no free ship, $749 no free ship and now back to $699 free ship.

  • It's gray import and not local stock.

    • +1

This isn't grey import. Grey imports from Kogan/Dick Smith have a direct shipping banner in the overview.

This listing also mentions 2 year warranty.

  • Out of interest, would people still consider getting the S7 Edge on a 24 month plan? If so, what monthly dollar amount would be deemed good value on say a 4GB plan with any one of the carriers? Thanks.

    • +2

Getting a deal on S7 Edge with no plan would be sweeter. Just saying.

    • Telstra (or other major carriers), 30-50.

      • Bit of a range there lol. I'm thinking around the $55 mark.

        • +3

          How about 35?

        • +3

i think $55 would be a bit too much as people got an s8 for $59 with the optus deal. $45 - 50 would be a good price for a s7 edge.

        • @Ak333: Thanks for the feedback :)

@tightarse: TA, 4gb would be outdated in year or so.

  • Anyone know if this phone is locked to Kogan mobile (as it comes with a Prepaid SIM)?

    • Phone is unlocked.

  • Has anybody ordered the phone yet? Aus tax invoice?

    • On checkout it says "1 × $699.00 Tax Free". Looks like no Aus tax invoice.

  • Their eBay store said post from Hong Kong

Cheaper with the 10% off tonight.

    • Ebay one has 12-month Kogan warranty. The item in this post says 2-year Samsung warranty.

      • Yeah very confusing both said "Australian Model"

    • can only manage 5% discount with c5oz which brought it down to $687.29 + CR (1.3%)

  • my workmate do not like the "edge" part. would prefer my s7.

    • Yeah I have and S7 Edge and I'm not a fan of curved screens. Definitely going flat next time if I can.

      • +1

That's what I said but went curvy from flat and my life has been much more enjoyable.

      • Isnt the Edge slightly bigger screen anyway? I know the S7 is hard on my eyes, 1440 in its screen size is a tad tiny text. It becomes hard to deny I need glases when I cant read the phone without them. Ive been getting away denying it for years. Damn s7.

My Nexus 6 made it easy, but hard to hang on to the slippery sucker, which is why I now have s7 :(

    • Yeah that is why I am still considering between S7 edge and LG G6.

Hope Samsung have S7 Edge size but S7 screen.

      • I am also thinking about S7 Edge vs LG G6 vs LG V20.

I have seen the results of S7 Edge camera. Much much better than G6 which doesn't have much camera improvement from previous models.
(if camera is a major criteria in your selection.)

My wife is using S7, the camera is so good.

I heard that LG G6 camera is good except the selfie camera and also have wide angle.

V20 is a bit too wide I reckon.
