[WA/SA] KOPPLA B22 to E27 Bulb Converter - $2.95 for 2 @ IKEA

200

I'm going to grab a few for the influx of smart bulbs on special :)

Why wait weeks for Hong Kong ones at $1 each, when you can just go in-store and get these for a bit more and quality should be better.

Doesn't look like they're available outside Perth and Adelaide stores.

Currently 1559 packs @ Perth, 719 @ Adelaide

  • I actually need one that goes the other way, have heaps of old bulbs that I want to use but new place is all E27.

  • Bah, how come not available in Melbourne Ikea?? I NEED these!

    edit: I see available on-line

edit2: can't select a state for delivery outside SA and WA

  • Was looking for these one in Melbourne but nah staff said ikea not doing it anymore in Vic

    • Oh no, I was planning on making a trip to IKEA to get one of these for all the Yee lights I've picked up. What a shame.

    Delivery Cost $19.75

LOL You have to be joking!

I will wait for my $1 one from China…

Or just go to the store? ;)

Though when it comes to Ikea I doubt you'd just walk out with the adapters!

      • Never have a reason to drive all the way to Innaloo/Osborne park just to go to Ikea :/

  • Why is this posted as a deal? This is the everyday price.

    • Everyday price at a small number of IKEA stores that still stock them. Can you find another retailer selling a similar item anywhere near as cheap?

  • How much are you saving from the original price?

  • Any b15 to e27 adaptors?

  • Wow didn't know these things existed, my house is quite old only has B22. Would love to get some Xiaomi Yeelights into my rooms!

  • Does anyone know when smart lights don't come in both types? Is there a technical limitation?

  • I'm suprised these are being stocked at all by ikea… these are illegal. The centre pin on an Edison screw bulb must always be connected to active, and the neutral must be connected to the screw contact.

Yeah, I looked into using these awhile ago but was spooked hearing about this.

Something about a potential for electric shock if you're replacing the light on a live circuit and make contact with the screw, since the b22 adapter would be live…

      • Yeh there's a 50/50 chance the screw will be live.

        • Correct, however it shouldn't matter if you first screw the lightbulb into this adapter and then into the light fitting.
