  • Great phone apart from the battery fingerprint sensor and no ota

    • +1

And the horrible customer service with their software. oh lets not forget the shitload of viruses. Ill never be buying a leeco product again.

      • Agreed. Had an Letv 1 Pro and they dropped support like a stone. Wouldn't even release the sources, so no decent custom roms. The hardware was amazing but permanently stuck on EUI running Android 5.0

        • Exactly the same phone i had. Comes with free keylogger.

      And no B28?

  • And the company LeTV has gone?

    • almost. Their financial troubles have only worsened.

      https://www.ft.com/content/2282fa5e-607c-11e7-91a7-502f7ee26…

A Chinese court has frozen millions of dollars in assets belonging to embattled tech conglomerate LeEco, dealing another blow to the company as it struggles to stay afloat.

An order issued by the court backed up a request by China Merchants Bank to freeze Rmb1.24bn ($180m) of assets from three LeEco subsidiaries as well as the personal assets of LeEco founder Jia Yueting and his wife Gan Wei, LeEco confirmed.

The assets were frozen because of missed interest payments on a loan taken out by LeEco’s mobile phone subsidiary, the company added.

The company has also put up for sale the old Yahoo campus in Silicon Valley it bought for $250m in June 2016, which LeEco had intended to be its American headquarters. In May LeEco laid off most of its US workforce, putting an end to its global ambitions.

  • great phone,
    bad inbuild software

  • No NFC, screen too big (for my liking). Pretty tempting otherwise.

    …and no band 28.

  • I think the LeEco LeTV Le S3 X622 is the better deal.
    - 3GB RAM 32GB ROM Helio X20 MTK6797 2.3GHz Deca Core
    - 5.5 Inch FHD Screen Android 6.0 4G LTE

  • i lost my impulse once finished reading the name of this phone.

  • again for the price, it is very nice piece of hardware, but dont even think about software support down the track given the horror episode is unfolding with the company founder whom may be on the run right now from chinese financial authorities, he is currently staying in US of A.

not to sell anything for them, but for the same china based devices: Xiaomi had the best android update track record for their devices even as old as mi 2 gets support. next up is Huawei, whom will update their international lines better than their domestic lines! Follow by Oppo also have ok support. Lenovo drops their own balls big time and just abandon their own app drawer less UI rival to MiUI and EMUI along with many of their confusing self competing sub brands (ie ZUK) in fav for Oh NO MOTO ! Meizu is rather rarely show up in ozbargain hence outa question.

  • There are some great roms out there with ota on XDA. I agree stock ROM is bs but it always is with these Chinese phones. First have a look on XDA and then buy the phone. I've got the x829 for almost a year as a daily driver and no issues so far, using cuoco92 custom ROM.

    • Can you update the ROM using the phone itself or a micro sd card?

This phone seems like a dream for basic activities.. I already have a legit Huawei Mediapad M3 for everything else but unfortunately it is WiFi only so things requiring phone number confirmation don't get any love.

Don't really care much about camera only it's ability to stay alive as a phone and use apps in background.

  • This phone supports Lineage OS right?
