  • Do you guys have a physical store I can go to and buy these?

    • Yes we do in Lane Cove in NSW our address on the website but we do generally prefer for customers to place an order first on the website so we can reserve your stock.

      We also offer installation.

      • What is the cost of installation this on a VW Golf Mk 7?

        • For installation requests if you could please email [email protected] as the price can vary based on your location and specifics.

          Generally speaking they cost $150 - $250.

  • Is this model going to be superseded soon? I noticed that the lower end 490-2CH that came out earlier this year has better specs.

    • The DR490 is a different camera it's really designed for people who want to have a screen.

      • DR490L-2CH has a screen, DR490-2CH does not. Main difference with it being a lower model is that it doesn't have WIFI.

        • I don't believe the non-lcd screen model is available yet in Australia i'd have to check.

ha I was honestly just looking at previous deals on these and wondering when another opportunity would pop up for a bargain. But seeing as recently you could have got them with the power magic pro for as low as $433 I guess i'm still waiting

    • consider the thinkware range as an alternative

my blackvues had to be replaced under warranty due to overheating, while i haven't had those issues with thinkware
i assume the lastest blackvue ones have some update so it doesn't run as hot

      • We are an authorised Thinkware dealer as well we can always do a great deal on those as well!

  • OP, can you do a good price on the single channel model and I'll buy 2?

    • Yes not a problem please just email [email protected] and we will take care of you!

  • What is the cost for 16GB Model with the installation on Toyota Aurion?

10% off. piss poor. not even worth our time reading this.

  • I bought a A119 with GPS Module in Feb last year and I can vouch that this thing works perfect in harsh Melbourne weather. Luckily the cheap 32GB MC is holding up great too. Video quality is amazing both in day light and at the night time and you won't be having issues reading the number plates etc. Paying 400+ for the dash cam is simply ridiculous. Don't forget the VIOFO A119 will come directly from overseas so there is no crazy Aussie middle man (like automotive superstore etc) charging his/there commission and making the whole product less affordable for hardworking Aussies.

    • I can't speak of the A119 but given the amount of camera's we sell and the number of warranties we have had i can say these are extremely reliable cameras.

We are not crazy middle men we are completely Australian owned, employ local staff and if you ever need help you can simply call our 1300 889 116 number and one of our local and extremely knowledgeable staff members will assist you. At Automotive Superstore we are working really hard to bring fairer prices to people then what the incumbent auto parts stores are offering.

The price of the camera's is very much dictated by the wholesale market we would do them cheaper if we could!

What makes these worth 5x the price of a A119 or Xiaomi type cams? Are they really that much better?

    • The middle man.

      • i've feeling that the middle man is busy handing out negs.

I had to give you +ve

Please note that the rear camera only does 720P. Considering 2K dashcams are becoming mainstream and 4k will be starting to come out to the premium end soon, 720P in this price bracket shouldn't happen anymore. You are better off getting the Thinkware 750 for a similar price from the UK or many other cheaper alternatives. This price bracket is for excellent picture quality, wifi, reliability and customer service. 720P just doesn't cut it anymore.

  • Do you also sell the DIY battery packs for parking mode as well? If so, what's the deal you can put on those as well?

  • $450 is expensive for a 16gb dashcam.

    • checkout viofo A119 on youtube.

      • We have the a118c, b40 and a119s. These are probably the best value units on the market. All three units costs us less than this deal.

The a119s was about ~$105 a week or so. The a118s and b40 is around $55 ea.

        • Do you have a dual dash cam option?

        • @BargainPower:
          Not dual. Four channels.

        • I'm asking if you have an option for front and back camera. This blackvue dashcam is 2 channel. You're options above are only front camera only. And no rear. I'm wanting to buy a dash cam with front and rear camera. Thanks.

        • @BargainPower:

I'm asking if you have an option for front and back camera. This blackvue dashcam is 2 channel.

we do. the front is fitted with an a119s and a 4" lcd twin lens, second lens going in rear. we've an a118c rear. there is also a b40 that will go on the rear driver side.

        • @BargainPower:
get two of these. one in the front and one in the rear.

        • @whooah1979: I have one of those already. I don't think the cable will reach the back of the car for the rear camera

        • @BargainPower: get two a119s mate. Hardwire them to buy a two way usb car charger
