Storage: Up to 128GB MicroSD Card

    then…

    Maximum Storage Supported 64GB

    ???

    • -2

Both highlights, official images and previous posts say 128GB. Clearly 64GB is a mistake.

      • +8

        Clearly 64GB is a mistake.

It might be clear to you Clear, but it wasn't clear to me as the article clearly states 2 contradictory specs.

        • +1

64GB is the older model I assume, since thats what I have.

        • @ATangk:

          How good is it?

        • +1

          @jv:
Turns on automatically with the car, since it's plugged into the microusb (I don't have hardware kit).

Video and audio is good but I bought the CPL (circular polarising lens) since my windshield is quite shallow and I could see the reflection of my dash.

I don't have much experience with other dashcams but it seems to work well for me. 1080p60 so whilst everything in front is clear perhaps fast cars in the peripheral are not so.

        • +2

I have this model, and use a 128GB microSD. So 64GB is the mistake.
But I agree, it's certainly not clear.

  • These are good.

  • How do these mount? Do they stick onto the windscreen?
Just wondering if they can be used from car to car?

    • These are designed to be used in one car, not to be moved from one to another frequently.

      • You can dismount them though, which is good

    • The mount has adhesive to stick it to your windscreen.

I have the 119 v2 (non-s) but I assume it's the same - it came with string to cut through the adhesive, 2 spare non-gps mounts and a few spare adhesive pads.

Side note - with the ebay sale, you can get SanDisk high endurance 32gb cards for under $30.

      • +1

So THAT'S what the string is for!!!!

Every time I unbox a Viofo dashcam, I always think "wtf is this string in here for"

        Makes sense.

        • Haha, it is not a dental floss.

    • You also get a spare (non-GPS) mount with the GPS versions. The power is connected to the mount in both cases, so you can just unclip it and move it to another car is you have mounts in them.

    • Thanks, would be nice to have a more portable solution. Ie so I can move this from my own car, to a hire car, to a work car etc.

      • +1

Unless you want wires hanging everywhere, a more portable solution isnt necessarily the better solution. These are relatively cheap im sure you can get two for the more used vehicle.

It does come with a GPS mount and a standard non-GPS mount. You can use these to transfer the Viofo between two vehicles, provided you have the micro-USB for power. More than 2 though, and you might be looking at a suction mount. But suction mounts just arent as secure.

    • You can buy suction mounts for this model on eBay for around $10

  • I have one of these from a previous deal.
Had issues with it restarting but this seems to be fixed with the latest firmware. As a bonus, the latest firmware records at higher than 1080p (think it was 1440p)

    • +2

      @trojan

That refers to the A119 model.

      The A119S and A119S V2 both have a maximum resolution of 1080p

      • +2

Thanks for the correction. My bad for not reading the model number close enough,

  • is this same as ebay one ( link below)

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VIOFO-A119S-2-Car-Dashcam-Novatek…

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VIOFO-A119S-2-Car-Dashcam-Novatek…

if yes, it can be had at AU $101.56 ( ebay offer 20% off, 20% off with code PTECH20). Plus may be can use cashrewards/pricepal

    • Same one except they're both shipping from Hong Kong. LITB has a better 3.2% rate with Cashrewards though.

      • thanks for the clarity.

Do you know if this can work (power) with cigarette socket or requires hardwiring ?

        • +1

Works fine with the cigarette socket

  • Does anyone have any coupon code for this website? Weighing up between this and banggood.

    • +1

i would go with banggood , more reputable, if you are debating between the two.

      • That's what I was thinking. Banggood is slightly cheaper but no GPS module which doesn't really bother me if I'm honest.

        • i have the no GPS one aswell, works great.

      • I just ordered two of these from Banggood.
Coupon code if you are interested - ce621f -
$187.41 AUD for two of them delivered to Aus. - No GPS.

        • banggood only seem to have V1

        • @ideasman: the item title and spec say 6G F1.8 lens implies V1, but the photos show 7G F1.6 lens which is V2. Anyone wants to buy need to confirm before buying unless not caring.

  • good price, not sure why there aren't more pos votes?

    • +2

      Not a good store

  • would it be the same as this? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VIOFO-A119S-2-Car-Dashcam-Novatek…
Seems to work out around same price after 20% discount, but you get It from shopping square (OZ warranty), plus you get to claim GST if you used it for work purposes (assuming they give u tax invoice)

    • Is that one V1 though?

      • Looks like it. No mention of V2 anywhere.

        • This is V2 version, got 7th generation F1.6 Lens, V1 is 6th generation F1.8 Lens.

        • @vhfyagi: huh? listing shows Lens 6G F1.8, 135° FOV, so that's v1??? why did u say it was v2?

        • @overshopper: please do the research on spec for V2, or make it simple to read OP carefully.

        • @overshopper: You misunderstood me or I misunderstood you. I am talking about lightinbox deal, not the ebay list.

  • Any deals with the hard wire kit?

    • Don't think LITB have the hardwire kit.

      • it shows it in their image on the page you linked to?

  • Any ideas on how to mount it so I can swivel to either windows for people talking to me?

  • will give it a go, bought one! thanks OP

  • I have this one and its really good. If you stick it to the windscreen you will get almost no shaking and its better quality then with the suction mount. I bought original suction mount from here http://www.foxoffer.com/car-camera-accessories/870-suction-c…
I have one in each of my cars as there is no time to keep taking it off and on (I did try the suction mount but finally bought one for each car).
The image quality is really good even in night or low light.

  • +1

    Finally bought one. First Dashcam.

    • Have fun! Not only will you have a record of the numpties out there, you'll likely drive a bit better/calmer yourself as you know your stuff ups will be recorded for posterity.

Practise your swearing and insults for anything worthy of sending to Australian Dashcam Owners YuTube channel. :)

        LOL "You fuuuu- ooof…"

  • What's the best payment option? Got CBA mastercard and Paypal, anyone already paid got any idea?

    • +1

      paypal. buyers protection.

      • +1

Thanks, that's good point. How much exactly you paid in your paypal account? I used paypal currency conversion and it says USD74.99 is AUD99.7. If that's case then good price for me.

        • yes . same it is

        • @ozyboy: Thanks,that's awesome.

        • @vhfyagi: Can't decide on which micro sd card 64gb ? any cheap you found? Samsung EVO+ or lexar 633x or any ?

        • @ozyboy: I would recommend samsung EVO+ 64GB, got one installed in one dash cam, no issue at all. Currently 20% off from ebay (futu online or shopping express) for $36.

        • @vhfyagi: - Never mind. Got it. Thanks…

  • I just bought 2 of these yesterday! How do they compare to the A119S?

    • +2

The A119S is far superior especially in low light.

That said, the A118C is a good budget unit.

      • Cheers. It's my first dashcam.

  • That's a very good price. Make sure the seller is selling V2 stock though as the V1 have GPS power issues. I'm very happy with mine, got it for 103$ with GPS and hardwire.

    • double checked with supplier, it's the V2 stock.

      • Please confirm it is F1.6 lens as people are confused on the list as some part of the list saying F1.8.

        • +2

confirmed with supplier, it's F1.6 lens, our list have some mistake, we are trying to update the newest information. and we can gurrante this is V2 version include GPS, if anyone find this is not the V2, we promise offer full refund and also you can keep the product.

        • @MiniInTheBox:
thanks for this confirmation. i'll put an order in and hold you to it :)

one more question - does it come with the hardwire kit? it shows it in the image towards the bottom of the listing but doesn't state it anywhere else

        • @ideasman: morning mate, just confirmed. the package don't include the hardwire kit

        • -1

          @MiniInTheBox:
well crap. ordered it anyway but really shouldn't be in the picture

        • -1

          @ideasman:

          Same :(

        • -1

@aldoduco: Your guys are wordless. OP never mentioned hardwire kit, the list never mentioned hardwire kit. The car is in the picture, are you also expecting you will have the car just for less than 100 bucks?

        • @vhfyagi:

          What, no car neither?

        • @aldoduco: I am not the seller, you can ask the question to miniInTheBox or OP to seek confirmation.

        • @vhfyagi:

There is still hope then ;)

        • @ideasman: very apologize, it's our misttake, we are trying to update the newest information but system have some delayed.

        • @vhfyagi:
the picture at the bottom of the listing sells itself as the "package contents". but thanks for your great input

    • $103 where from?

      • a guy on ebay. ill post a link if you like, but it was during the 20% off ebay deal… he actually had a 20% off recently but i dont know if thats expired or not.

  • Nice deal and very good dashcam, currently one of the best dashcams you can get.

  • Has anyone got this dashcam and can post a video from it?

Edit: Are we on the same site? The site is listing it in AUD for me not USD and if I press change currency there is no USD option but I see CAD and NZD in the list.

Without shipping insurance and with the cheapest one month postage it comes to:

    Subtotal( 1 item ):AUD $ 104.24
    (+) Shipping Charges: Free

  • Its $104.24 now?
Am I missing a code or is it finished?

    • Ditto for me.

    • +1

LITB's AU rate is inflated. I personally have a CC without currency conversion fees setup in Paypal to get a better rate.

      • 28 degree mastercard?

        • Yep.

    • select USD so it will show $74.99. When you add to cart then checked out, either use your credit card or paypal, the transaction will be in USD. Paypal conversion is $99.7 today. Mastercard will be the rate as OP, but your bank may have a fee (3%) on top of it. Either case it will be less than AUD100.

I ordered a xiaomi tv from lightinthebox over a month ago and still don't have it. Horrible Experience.

    • -1

hi mate, do you mind pm me your order number?

  • I bought mine (on ebay) recently following a very positive review here —> http://www.techmoan.com/blog/category/car-dvr-dashcams
    Very happy so far :)

    • That review is for the A119 model - this one is A119S, which I believe is the next one up. But it's still a good unit.

  • Thaks OP got one

  • Thanks OP grabbed 2.
Do they sell the lens filters?

  • I still have a couple of G1W-C that are still working. Worth the upgrade?

  • Mine received yesterday just in 5 business days after ordering online. Good work LITB.

    • Wow, that's very fast. I am still waiting. There is still no tracking information from the web link they provided.

      • No Tracking. Standard Delivery. Was surprised to see. Was hoping to receive by 20-25 business days.

    • +2

Mine received today, also did not expect it to come this quick.
      Ordered 17/08, received 23/08.
