  • Awesome Static Ice says $600+ for Aussie suppliers!

  • The actual delivery cost would be almost hundred dollar.

So I have the UM68-P version of this model, which cost me about $699 about 6 months ago. The only difference I can tell is mine has height adjustment, an extra HDMI port, and speakers.

I've been pretty happy with the display, it's a decent size without being too large and colour reproduction seems pretty good. I've not really had any issues with ghosting, and most applications and games I've played support the Ultra Wide format. I bought it because I couldn't physically fit two monitors on my desk, and didn't really like the idea of using one of those double monitor stands. I didn't really want to go for a higher resolution either as I'm not sure how my 1060 would drive it. The speakers are surprisingly usable, but of course they don't compete with decent speakers/headphones.

Cons? Some people will tell you that the pixel density is too low and might be blurry, though I don't think it's too bad (and I use a 5k iMac at work and I'm pretty adjusted to high-res displays). Another downer is that the 75hz only works if you have freesync enabled, which is a downer as I have a Nvidia card. I've tried customer profiles but I always get frameskipping when forcing it to 75hz. I've heard of some people having some luck getting it to run, but I wouldn't bank on it.

Overall I think the U60 series are a pretty bare-bones monitor that offer good bang for buck, and make a good entry for those who want an Ultra Widescreen without breaking the bank.

    • Thanks for the review 🖒

    • Thanks for the review. Which game you play: BF1/4, TF, COD?
Got AMD R9 280, which unfortunately does not support freesync and Full HD resolution on this size might look a bit sus.
Another thing is the edges. Got LG 24 MP76 with edgeless screen and that looks great.

Having said that I like the idea of getting one monitor which u can have 2 app; side by side, which I miss on my current monitor.

  • What's big difference between LG 34UM58-P(kogan $399) and 34UM60-P ??

  • 34 inch 1080p? WTF?

    • It's 34" diagonally in an Ultra Wide format, so it's not as bad as it sounds. Think of it has having 1 and a half 1080p monitors next to each other.

      • Only thing is that the monitors are 27 inch 1080p……great for gaming but the pixel density is a bit low for my liking.

  • Do most games support ultra wide ? like Skyrim, Oblivion, NFS MW etc ?

    • +1

      Most games support ultra wide.

Games like Skyrim and Fallout need mods.

Playing Overwatch and Borderlands 2 in ultrawide is awesome.

      • I thought overwatch stopped supporting ultrawide cause of bs reasons

  • my 2 cents,
i have 29 inch 75hz freesync version of this series.
i tried 34 inch, however screen res was pretty bad, i guess it had to do with pix density. 29 inch was much more pleasing to play - purchased 29 inch over 34. Also, blacks are not that good in this

  • Still feels over missing MSY deal. Also are there only certain brands that make gsync monitors? Haven't really seen many ultrawides with them (or is it not really worth taking advantage of just because you have NVIDIA).
