  • wish me luck, i'll donate a million bucks to this site if i win ^^

    • Maybe I will make that a compulsory for all the gaming/lottery related deals :)

  • With about 2000 readers on the site, that'd be $500 each! Not bad but I want more :(

  • Just make sure you never actually pay to buy lotto tickets from this site… because it is a lot cheaper to go to your local newsagent. For example a 16 game Powerball entry costs $10.30 from the newsagent but $12 through Ozlotteries.

  • don't get me wrong here but as a recent immigrant im not that much of clear how the lotto system works in Australia….does anyone have any link from where i can get a clear ideas…

    thanks for the info though..

  • -> neosin

    Prizes can start as low as around $10. If you plan to donate a million when winning that … you're a very generous person :)

  • -> Sajib, is this the information you were looking for?

    With this lottery, you pick 5 numbers, and 1 more called a "powerball".

    People can win money if pick at least 3 of the 6 numbers that are drawn. If one number was the powerball, you get a higher payout.

    Here are the pay outs for last week:
    3 numbers -> $12.80 or $21.80 if one was the powerball
    4 numbers -> $63.90 or $111.80
    5 numbers -> $6813.30 or $87891.40
    6 numbers -> (no one got all 6 right)

    I think they nominate a pool of funds available for each combination. (3 balls right, 3 balls right where 1 is the powerball, 4 balls right, 4 balls where 1 is the powerball, etc)

    The pool is then divided up amongst the winners, if there are any.
    The pool amount can change from one competition to another, but I think they do announce the pool value from the start of the tickets being available for a competition.

    • thanks for the explanation..

      its kind of a clear now…

      although still i don't like lotto things as it is a gambling and like any other gambling its addictive..

      so here i am let drive the million bucks dream with my hard work not with my hard luck!!!

  • Sorry JefferyM, this is a duplicate.

    Yahoo7 Lotto is just linking to the Oz Lottery offer, which was mentioned here.

    • Yes you're right, but this is a separate offer meaning that you can claim it from Oz Lottery & Yahoo7 Lotto (because Oz Lottery runs Yahoo7 Lotto)

      • Oh, I tried joining and it said I'm already an Oz Lottery member (from the previous offer). Did you manage to join twice with the same e-mail address?

        • Yer - don't know why it won't let you (maybe I got a server error or something that let me)?

  • I missed the duplicate - thanks for the link.

    If I win, I'll never have to visit this site again! :D

    • LOL. Well, that's just selfish. You should be donating. :)

      • Lol - I did. To the OzBargain Bank (even though I don't know what Scotty did to the money)?!

        • Did you? :)

          The fact that you still come to this site and I am still running OzBargain shows that neither you nor me has won the lottery :)

  • No luck with my 2 tix. Oh well, didn't waste any money.
