    This is the THIN drive

then Seagate Backup Plus Slim is the THINNER drive, and

Seagate Backup Plus Ultra Slim is the THINNEST drive. 😁

    • I don't think either of those come in 4tb

      • Nah, it's too thick to fit into those cases. 😁

    • It's not thin. It is the chunkiest 2.5" drives available. 15mm thick drives in these. I have two of these, and they have been pretty good. Get around 95MBPS transfer speeds. A little slower than some of PMR drives, but not by much.

This is one of the first SMR drives, i believe that it allows for 1 less platter, so it's thinner than a Standard 4TB portable…

      • On the review you linked to

        Dimensions (LxWxH): 114.50mm x 78.00mm x 20.5mm

        From Seagate website

        Slim is 113.5 x 76 x 12.1 mm, ultra slim is 113.5 x 76 x 9.6 mm 😁

        • SLIM isn't stated in the post, THIN is
SLIM drives are not available in 4TB

        • @just-dave:

          I'm confuse. 😡

So, is 4TB thin, or not thin?

        • @O O:
I believe that it has 1 less platter because of the SMR technology, so thinner than the older 4TB PMR drives :)

  • 2TB black has also dropped back to it's previous $69 USD.

PS Red is also at $69.99.

  • +1

4tb coloured are at $109.99 vs the $2 better on black.

  • This or the 4TB WD?

  • Not sure if this is the best place to post, but looking for a small portable hard drive (500gb - 1tb) any good deals?

    • +1

      Office works for 1TB

      • Cheers, also any good deals on wireless ones or have they gone the way of the dodo? I like wireless ones because they are more viable in cramped spaces like trains and planes.
