    From the specs page -
Two HDMI 2.1 ports (HDCP 1.4 and HDCP 2.2), (Supports 3840 x 2160 at 165 Hz, 1920 x 1080 at 330 Hz, FRL, HDR, VRR as per specified in HDMI 2.1) (including one HDMI 2.1 FRL with eARC to support Dolby ATMOS signal pass-through)
    One DisplayPort 1.4 connector (HDCP 1.4 and HDCP 2.2), (Supports 3840 x 2160 at 165 Hz, 1920 x 1080 at 330 Hz, DSC, HDR)
    One USB-B 3.2 Gen1 upstream port (5 Gbps)
    Two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 downstream ports (5 Gbps)
    One USB-C 3.2 Gen1 downstream port (5 Gbps)
    One USB-A 3.2 Gen1 downstream port (5 Gbps) with BC1.2 power charging

How do you get the advertised max fps?

    • "overclock"

      3840 x 2160 up to 180 Hz (overclock up to 180 Hz)

1920 x 1080 up to 360 Hz (FHD mode) (overclock up to 360 Hz)

    • It doesn't really matter that much even if you can.

This is a 4K 144Hz monitor with an overclock mode, and dual-resolution mode that are almost pure marketing fluff.

      • Saw your comments in that post and watched that YouTube video but not sure what is a better buy under around this price?

        • I've seen better 4K 144Hz-165Hz slightly above this price before, but my point was to wait for OLED price drops if your budget can afford.

          Currently 27" 4K 240Hz QD-OLED goes for $980, but 500Hz QD-OLED is yet to launch (probably 2 months away).

Disregard this monitor entirely unless you're looking for basic 4K high refresh rate, and certainly don't buy it for HDR.

          • @jasswolf: We all know OLED is amazing in terms of refresh rate and black contrast etc but it is not perfect due to text blurry, burn in,and I don’t think we can get it around $400 anytime soon.

I see it the best buy for this price especially for many people use it for non serious gaming and also some productivity. And you are right, for serious FPS gamers get something else.

            • @NoBargainNoLife: I wasn't suggesting it would, but there are 4K 165Hz OLED options that have to land somewhere nearby on sale, and better 4K IPS monitors.

              • @jasswolf: Can you suggest some 4k monitors in this range? I have read comments and couldn't decide? Missed the last aw2724dm deal which was 2k but can go till 4k

                • @3fornothing: The LG 27GR93U-B is on clearance for $530 it seems, and you might be able to get it lower with some additional discount codes in places.

It has notably better response times, but a slower refresh rate and weaker HDR implementation (not that either are good for HDR).

But I strongly suggest waiting, as it's clear $900-$1200 is the current price range for 27" 4K 240Hz OLED monitors, so expect lower refresh rate models to start appearing in the $500-$800 range.

  • Bought the 2724dm the other day, now tempting this

  • Will this work with a MacBook Air via USB C?

    • +5

No, the USB C port is only connected to the built-in USB Hub that connects via the USB Type B connector.

If you want a one-cable solution, get a nice dock with passthrough power and a long USB C cable to your laptop and just hide the dock either under the desk or behind the monitor with some velcro.

Personally, I think the sweet spot for 4K is 32", but for people who like their monitor centimeters from their eyes, the extra 25 PPI is a nice bonus.

    • Yes very personal. If sit far enough I am happy with my 4K 75inch TV but I can’t even stand my work motnitor 28inch 4K after using my own 27inch 4K for many years. Very noticeable, not to mention 32inch…

    • +2

I agree. had 27" 4K Dell for a year and it felt a bit too shrunk. replaced with a 32" 4K and have been happy with it for 2 years now, not even considering changing anything there. G3223Q

    • +2

I think most people have their monitor less that a metere (i.e. centimetres) from their eyes. I do and find 27" @ 4K with no scaling perfect.

IMO 32" is too big to run as dual monitors and too small for use as a single monitor.

      • +2

Yeah same here… 2 x 4K 27” (one in portrait) is a really nice WFH setup. Tried 1 x 32” and wasn’t for me. Each to their own tho!

  • +1

Pretty crazy to see that new dual monitor technology at this price point already considering I paid about $450 for budget qhd 144hz back some years!

    • What’s the benefit of switching to 1080?

      • In this case , having 360hz

        • The response times are the same though, so it's almost as smeared as the 4K mode, hence the massive discount.

      • With competative fps gaming, 360hz benefits you for getting smoother experience and lower latency… low resolution is tolerable on fast paced gameplay.

  • Nice monitor but the jump in price to 32” is 😳

    • Completely different monitor: 240Hz QD-OLED.

  • I actually had this monitor but ended up returning it. I had the annoying HDMI input popup kept appearing constantly throughout the day. Other people on Reddit had a similar problem with a different Dell monitor. I returned mine within the 14 day return policy.

    • My Samsung has an annoying Game bar popup every time I turn it on, but it doesn't reappear at least.

  • Is this daisy chain compatible? Doesn't look like it ???

  • I assume this one doesn’t have AUX 3.5mm?

  • Does anyone has a spare code? thanks
