So expensive for an S7. Not even an edge.

    • agree. I could remember I bought a galaxy s3 on August 2012 for $560, as a current flagship.

    • See what will happen when Amazon land here.

  • Do these old flagship phones have any performance issues? Theyree pretty spec'd up, so I assume they don't….. Anyone got one?

    • Nup - I'm happy with mine.

No problem here and camera is so great.

        • Agreed, I never have trouble with it. Good quality and starts up fast with two clicks of the home button.

I have the S7 Edge with SD820. No issues to report and I've had it since April 2016. Phone just works.
Before this I had the HTC M7 with the purple camera lens and terrible battery life.
The edge functionality is a gimmick to me, I never use it. If I could get the size of the s7 edge without the edge, perfect!

      • Imported? Aus models should be Exynos instead of SD820

        • Correct, it is exynos, I was confused with the US model. Mine is via Optus with the optus OS branding.

No issue with the exynos. On earlier software versions during the first six months it would occasionally get pretty hot a few times, however that hasn't happened in the last year.

  • Is this locked to the telstra network?

    • no

      • Can I ask why does it state telstra branded does it just mean it has their logo?

        • In the software, yes. The boot screen has a Telstra splash.

  • I bought my wife the dual sim S7 from T Dimension for $500.

I got an S8 for my wife.
      Fair swap I reckon.

I think I'd rather get an S8+ grey import for a little more $

  • I am using this phone right now. Very poor battery life, cannot last for a day of normal using. Get this phone when it sell $400.

    • Must be something wrong with your phone. $400 may be it is not new.

My wife S7 got around 50% at night around 10pm and she always turn it on at 6am in the morning.

      Of course not heavy user.

      • She must leave the phone on the desk for all day, and use it as a clock only.

        • She use Whatsapp, Facebook in the morning and during lunch time and at night a lot.

Did you check which apps consumed all the battery?

For $400 doesn't seem it is new to me, you cannot get it at the price even now.

  • You could purchase this with a stack of kogan gift cards from Coles at 10% off to save a bit more.

    • Can you use Kogan gift cards with dick smith even they are the same?

  • Is that new or refurbished?

  • Might just be me but the price feels pretty hefty considering it's now old..

  • wow still expensive but it started expensive that's why

I bought my S7 from jb hifi at launch for $650 with Qantas FF point cashed in ~$500 (1150 -500= 650) otherwise I would never pay over $1k for a phone.

Went from S2 at launch $750 which lasted me ages and then upgraded to S7 - so S2 had a good life/usage :)

S7 probably last me till S10 comes :)

For this price, might as well wait till Xmas and have S8 for same price !
