$349 for a refurbished phone that is how old? One might argue that even if you liked the apple ecosystem AND the 4 inch display, you could get an SE (as said above) for only a bit more.

This product is considered second hand so even consumer laws are futile…Doesn't aldi have one of the best warranty policies though? You'll probably have a easier time getting warranty with aldi than apple.

No deal, hands down. Also, who did the refurbished work? Apple does refurbished as well and they are top notch, but they don’t supply it to third parties AFAIK, only available thru their own online store.
Yeah this is a awful deal for a used iPhone 5s 16GB. You can buy them brand new on eBay for $245 delivered with 12 months warranty. A few examples:

No one in their right mind is going to go to ALDI and pay this for a used iPhone 5s. OP, i can't see any one fighting over them since it's such a bad deal. Who is ALDI trying to kid with this price?.
Those phones are definitely not brand new but nevertheless a better deal than this
Oh yeah my mistake, it turns out even although it claims brand new in the eBay description, one of them is refurbished, but still $104 less than ALDI. And the one from dvdorchard may be a grey imported stock, but still as i said, $104 less than ALDI!.
Aldi started off with good quality products and decent prices but personally, I do not buy their special buy products anymore. The quality has turned to crap and price has gone way up. See it again and again in the store. Aldi thinks Australians are stupid and just like a drug dealer they give you the high-quality goods at the start then sell you sub-par SH!T. They were good only while trying to woo the Aus public, but just like Bunnings, Bcf and Annaconda now they think we are sheep and treat us all accordingly. Just my opinion in what I see.

The 32gb SE I got for the missus the other week for 250 at Big W would like a word with this deal.
Yeah that's a rippa deal. But unfortunately for the OP, this whole thread is a joke when it comes to the price.
So, I can either:
- beat of hordes of punters to buy a used 4 year old phone, or
- go to Officeworks or Hardly Normal, spend $50 more and and buy a brand new phone with double the RAM, double the storage, full Apple Pay support, a much better rear camera, a much faster processor and a full warranty before spending 5 minutes on Telstra Live Chat to get it unlocked…Sorry, but no deal.
Do yourself a favour, spend $50 more and buy a brand new iPhone SE 32GB for $399 from Harvey Norman or Officeworks. Perhaps forget about an over priced refurbished iPhone 5s. That's if you really must have an iPhone and not an Android mobile phone. Personally i think that my Sony Xperia XA Ultra (Android phone) which i got from Sony for $299 a few months ago is way better than this iPhone 5s.

Android all the wayI wouldn't go iPhone again. Currently using a 16gb iPhone 5. Only because I inherited it from a family member that upgraded to a new contract and phone.
Parents have an Android phone and tablet that offers so much more freedom than the restrictive iPhones. This deal is way over priced for a refurbushed 5s. 16gb is also limiting as iPhone offer no memory expansion.
