Hi OP,could you update this deal with code SDXC83 to bring the price down to AU$25.19/US$19.99USD?

    • +1

Just bought one :D Thanks so much for the code!

    • Done
      Thanks GB!

    • +1

When is the code valid till? I just tried it now and it said it's expired. Thanks

By the time they arrive UHS-6 will be standard

  • Is this any good for GoPro Hero5 or a standard DSLR camera?

    • Without the adapter (which makes it normal SD card size) you cannot use these little ones in DSLR.
Usually they come with the adapter but this specific deal is without an adapter.

In the product description and Q&A it says "Support 4K Video Recording: No"

Is this accurate? Why would a U3 card with 60MB/s not support 4k?

    • It should definitely support 4k, one of the questions answered on gearbest states it will support 4k 30fps, contrary to the description.

  • Thanks, got one

  • how long would 64gb last in 1080p dashcams?

    • Ages. I recorded an hour of 1080 60fps in my action camera the other day, and I think it used about 13gig.

    • +1

It depends on what video bitrate your 1080p dashcams is recorded in.

    • +1

Depends how hot your dash gets.

    • +1

Don't use those cards. Use the high endurance cards specifically designed for many overwrites.
Well - depends - if you drive 2 hours per week than this one will last, but driving few hour every day, you really want something what will last.

      • Can you recommend any high endurance cards for dashcams? Doesn't have to be a deal.

        • SANDISK® HIGH ENDURANCE VIDEO MONITORING microSD CARDS

        • I use Lexar 32 and 64GB variants. Kogan sells them, but you can find them on ebay or other places.
Sandisk does not have great reputation among dashcam users

    Hey Rep,

Got the following error message when entering the code
The Code you entered has expired.
Code for single unit price only; VIP Price, Special Offer or Group Deal all exempt.

    Any reason why?
I only have 1 single item in the cart.

    • The app give the msg when apply the code: "this code has reach its usage limit"

  • Much better deal than the HN one posted yesterday that is UHS-1.

    • Except I'd trust the HN one would be genuine

      • it's your money, if you're happy with paying more for 20MB/s writes.

  • +1

Deal sounds too good to be true, who ever buys one hope it isn't a fake card.

    • +1

I'm wary that it doesn't include an SD adapter which I've heard is a guaranteed way to tell whether its fake or not without referencing the product photos. Also there's a few reviews on Gearbest which points to 18mb/s read & write

They could be real or they could be good fakes and the only best way to tell is by running speed tests

      • I'm wary that it doesn't include an SD adapter which I've heard is a guaranteed way to tell whether its fake or not

That's not a guaranteed method as I received this same model of card just recently without a bundled SD adapter and it was genuine.

There are probably as many packaging and bundle variations as there are distinct markets to export to and the market as a whole it pretty grey so variation is inevitable.

the only best way to tell is by running speed tests

Indeed. But such tests need to be conducted using equipment that is known not to be a performance bottleneck itself. So phones are out, and care needs to be taken when choosing a USB 3.0 card reader, host computer and testing methodology.

For the record here's a result for the 64GB Samsung EVO Plus 100/60 that I purchased from Shopping Square recently: http://imgur.com/00jk3sV

Capacity checked out too via a real-world copy of ~60GB of data with no evidence of corruption.

        No bundled SD adapter :)

(actually tested better than Samsung PRO 90/80 in some important respects)

        • I trust websites like ShoppingSquare better than Gearbest which can sometimes float between imitations & genuine.

And maybe with the guaranteed method (which I said I've heard, so its not 100% but its more reliable) I think it applies to AU products

Why is the price of memory falling so slowly these days?
64GB should be under $20 now.
I paid $10-15 for 32GB several years ago.

    • +1

Was that when AUD was high?

A lot of things are more expensive than they were a few years ago. Apart from the dollar more manufacturers are simply charging more for the products. Cameras are a great example. The cheap $400 deals for entry level DSLRs are drying up. And try getting a mid range lens. Use to be able to grab some decent glass for $400-600…now more like $800-1000 again.

    • agree will bite if under 20

    • Why does a GFX card still cost $1k? By your reasoning, it should only cost $50 by now after decades.

A bit of common sense and logic could be applied here… Obviously new tech, new products, higher prices.

      • to be fair, 64GB microSD cards are pretty old tech.

A similarly old nVidia card if being sold now would be much less expensive than a 1070 or 1080. They aren't selling GPUs that old though. But they are still selling 64GB cards which were around in 2011 or maybe even earlier.

Promo code is expired and brings it up to full price =(

  • Code expired. AU$31.49 price now.

  • AUD $31.49 now, $42.00 if you apply the code : (

  • The code isn't working, but if you buy through the app it goes to AU$28.34. Then place order. Then go to computer through cashrewards -> gear best -> orders and finalise the payment to get the cashrewards.

  • next time , not in a hurry , thanks OP .

  • These product lines still confuse me given the improvements in their ratings. So what write speeds do these sport in reality?

  • comes up at $24.99 USD?

    • Best to convert to AUD to get the actual price in local currency unless you wish to pay in USD.
      It showed USD 22.49 earlier.

      • yeah, it's not 22.49 USD anymore

    • It's the same card rebranded. Take whichever is cheaper.

  • Anyone received it? How long does it take to arrive?

    • +1

Nope, wondering how long before I raise a paypal dispute.

      • +1

Received. Average write speed is ~60Mb/s, so I'm pretty happy.

      • +1

Only just received mine yesterday :/

        • I am still waiting, the last updates i got.

          @spriggan43:

For whatever reason even the same items bought on the same day from GB seems to show up weeks apart. Here's hoping yours get here this week.
