Yeah you can. No batteries required if you want to use it wired. Plug and play via USB.

It says Bluetooth several times on the page which only the S model supports so I assume so.

More about personal preference than anything to be honest. Personally I like the shape of the Xbox controller more so it's nicer to play on.
I personally prefer the D-pad on the Playstation controllers. The Xbox D-pads are annoying.
