    • they changed item location to Melbourne from Hong Kong

Edit: now checked its back to Hong Kong

^ That deal is better since it comes from Melbourne. No tax needed to pay

    Awesome! Samsung phones are BOMB!

  • +1

How are top end phones getting more expensive? Yet mid range phones are getting better and closer to the top of the line ones?

    • Like what?

      • Like a One Plus 5. Sure it doesn't have the same screen but how is that phone two times cheaper than the Note 8. 1499 at JB is ridiculous.

        • Lol. Okay. Why stop at a OP5? Why not get a OP3t? or what about an MI5x? Although none of these have a big screen, stylus, quality camera, software to support stylus, extra software, supported updates, local warranty, quality hardware………

keep in mind iPhones have been this price for a long time. And the RRP is only $60 more than the Pixel XL.

The price will go down as per usual for Samsung phones, so no use complaining.

    • I'll tell you how: Gumbies still buy them.

      • -1

Yep, gumbies still buy mid range phones thinking they hit with the top dogs.

  • anyone knows if it comes with the convertible wireless charger as preorder bonus?

  • Still not sure. If the seller is trustable, if this is genuine Au stock and whether it includes preorder bonus.

  • Any idea if this is dual sim, or if there will be a dual sim version?

  • It is overpriced, anti human price indeed!! I would rather pick up huawei or xiaomi for much less money

  • If purchased from Vaya Online will the buyer be entitled to the bonus of the wireless charger for pre orders?

Oh I can see in the T&C "excludes online bidding or auction websites (including www.ebay.com.au)" purchases.

    Hi,
Actually, this is an Australian model and will be shipped from within Australia, we're not able to change the listing's location as this will enable the change for the entirety of our product so we made sure that it is indicated in the product listing. If purchased before 22nd of Sept will include the offer to redeem a wireless charger from Samsung, this has been guaranteed by our Supplier already.

    still confused about screen assurance

    • is it going to be locked to optus ?

      Product Description:
Samsung Galaxy Note8 [64GB Australian Stock] outright or with award-winning mobile plan from Vaya, powered by the Optus 4G Plus Network. Expand to view product description and specifications.

      • if you check model number its SM-N950FZDAXSA which is for for Australia Open devices and mean its unlocked

  • +1

i'm skeptical that we would get the wireless charger/screen assure offer
with regards to t&c's that say specifically that ebay is excluded, along with auction houses

vaya lists themselves as "an Aussie online mobile service provider" and i don't see their names on the participating retail store
unless they provide a separate invoice as part of the purchase?

    • I'm curious to know too, I'm super keen to buy this as the price difference is very small compare to s8 plus

  • if you are note 7 user who surrendered it back, Samsung is offering $250 discount to get Galaxy Note 8. I am also one of them, so $1250 with wireless charger and screen assurance is a good deal.

    • -1

can you double dip with the amex deal?
which means you'll get it for 1100?

      • Sorry mate i am not sure about this. A a

      • Sorry mate i am not sure about this.

  • Response from Vaya eBay store - read from the bottom.

No sorry, we can't guarantee that, we can only vouch for the wireless charger redemption and the manufacturer warranty.

If purchased before 22nd of Sept will include the offer to redeem a wireless charger from Samsung. And yes, Warranty is direct with Samsung Australia for 24 months.
    Your previous message

Thanks for your reply. Does this mean it will be considered by Samsung as Australian stock for warranty purposes?

Also does it get the free wireless charger and screen repair?
    vaya_shop:

This will be posted from within Australia, we are unable to change the location for this listing as it will change the entirety of our product location as well so we made sure to indicate that the model is Australian in the product title.

Hi, how is this Australian stock if posted from Hong Kong? Thanks

    • And yet they've been able to change the Listing location to Melbourne now…

  • The t's and c's for the screen assure offer specifically exclude ebay purchases.

"Participating Retail Store" means each of the……
and excludes any online bidding or auction websites (including www.ebay.com.au) and…….

  • Damn after all the thinking and pondering is listed out of stock now :(

  • Vaya Ebay is corrupt. They sent me a phone that was advertised new and it had someone elses details on it. They asked for my Apple ID password once I returned it.

Bunch of crooks. Called the Vaya office and they said they have nothing to do with Vaya Ebay 'it's separate'

    • -1

Maybe you should look up what corrupt actually means. Who's paying them off?

I see you're going out of your way to mention your story over and over and over. I think we get the point now.

So they refunded you and you got your money back? Sure bad experience but maybe try moving on?

  • For everyone who are pre-ordering the note 8 outright and not going through a Telco plan, what sim only plan are you guys using?

I've found that going with the 24 month plans with the Telco does work out to be quite good value..

E.g. assuming you get the note 8 with 250 discount, brings the phone down to 1250 which is 52/month over 24 months. Assuming you wanted to then compare a sim only plan with with Optus 110/month deal, you'd have to find a plan that offers 30gb for $58 which I can't seem to find..

Just wondering what everyone else is doing.

    Thanks!
