Beware - TV is only HD resolution not full HD so images will look crap.

Spend an extra hundred or so and get a bigger panel and full HD resolution.

Really hard to find a FullHD 32" at a reasonable price.

For some people 40" is too large, it's annoying how scarce smaller TVs are these days

      • Hisense 32" 1080p smartTV with NetFlix, FreeView etc for $398 at VideoPro

        • That price for a 32" just seems too high, especially when you have bargains like this 43" 4K Kogan TV for $419 delivered.

I guess there's just less competition for FullHD TV's at that size

        • @railspider: Hisense quality over Kogan, especially with their 3 yrs in home warranty

Use a computer monitor and invest an extra $20 in a cheap set-top box. https://www.pccasegear.com/products/37319/philips-bdm3201fd-…

        • Need speakers too, but I think this is the best approach at the 32" size.

Nice price on the monitor, thanks for the link

    Is DLED better than OLED??

    • +2

It's a JVC (rebadged junk) TV for $255 from target. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no.

    • DLED -

      Pros

led panel on back side of screen
      But uniform brightness throughout
      Cons

      More LEDs required
      Costlier
      Thicker than edgelit

**Ripped from that quora webpage, since I was curious nonetheless

  • "Built-in soundbar"

So basically tv speakers, just placed differently on a black strip under the tv instead of hidden behind, because the word soundbar gets attention?

I feel as though this tv would look much nicer without the "soundbar" slapped on underneath, especially if it were mounted on a wall.

  • Wow… JVC are really trying waaaaaayyyyy too hard to confuse folks into buying something that is basically crap.

    DLED, built in "soundbar".

Come on. JVC branding has just gone even further down the toilet than 30 seconds ago.

Please dont buy this crap folks. Even at this price, this is not a bargain. Not at all.
