It's faster but consumes a lot more power.
I wonder if the 56 can be undervolted a tad, just a bit, to help in this regard. I really want to support the underdog AMD, but I don't want my graphics card to be a dual heater while living in Queensland.
Search it yourself. Vega56 can perform better when undervolted, resulted in a performance of 1080 while consuming only 175W.
