Can we please have a deal on one with USB C input? Really don't want to run a second charger…

    • I still run the 10,000mAh Xiaomi Pro QC2.0 cause it has USB-C input

    • Sorry for the stupid question - what do you mean by running a second charger?

Also, which one of these does have the USB-C charge? The one on the Xiaomi website looks the same at first glance…

      • -7

I have a QC 3.0 USB C charger for my phone and my wife has Apple everything. Neither of us use micro USB for anything and thus to charge it I would need to plug another cable in somewhere, which isn't ideal. I also have USB C at work given it's what my phone uses.

Micro USB is dead. Move along everyone.

        • +1

The output port is standard USB-A port. You only use micro USB (B) port to charge the powerbank. To charge it quickly, you need a QC2/3 power adapter.

Any Apple device which requires USB C charging uses USB-PD, which is incompatible with QC 3.0. At best, you only get the 5V charging out of these.

Apple "everything"… current iPhones and iPads use lightning connectors. Maybe iPhone 8 will switch to USB-C.

As an Apple user, it is a real pain that Apple switched to all USB-C ports for Macbook and Macbook Pros. The magsafe is gone and you need dongles for pretty much everything. Getting 4K@60Hz via HDMI is a pain now. Apple also don't have their own brand of USB-C to USB 3 cables/adapters (they only sell USB 2.0 ones). USB-C to USB 3 based cables/adapters are all 3rd parties.

  • Anyone reccommend these? Just entered the market for a power bank and wondering how these stack up?

    • +13

Best way of saying it is: Once you go Xiaomi, you never go back.

      • +1

That'll do me then, i'll go the 20,000 :) Cheers

        • +3

          Enjoy it :)

    • +1

There's a rumour that inside these power banks, it's a whole bunch of eneloops.

I may have just made that up.

      • +2

It's actually Finish Max dishwasher tablets.

        • +2

The current is generated by 4 fidget spinners inside the 20k powerbank and the 10k has 2 fidget spinners.

  • Their international shipping practices don't reflect on their local shipping, received mine in a 5 working days :)

    • My order says it's expected to arrive on the 19th of this month, do you believe it may be put to be on the safe side of things?

      • +1

Not sure what you mean but you should expect it to come by the 19th.

        • +1

From what I experience from the seller if they sold out local stock, it will come from overseas and they will update the expected delivery date.

  • Question, what's the difference between buying from them and https://www.banggood.com/Original-Xiaomi-20000mAh-Polymer-Po… ?

    • +1

You get this one in less than a month :)

      • Says 7-25 days from banggood.

        • +6

Yeah I wouldn't trust that claim

        • I usually get my stuff from banggood in a week if I use priority direct shipping, but that costs a little extra.

    • do you want it in 5 days or 5 weeks?

    • +4

I'm still waiting for mine from banggood, been almost 1.5 months.

      • Open a PayPal dispute.

      • Just chat with Banggood, they will refund you.

        • I've just contacted them, and they've asked for another 10 days. They will refund me if it hasn't arrived by then.

        • @bob smith:

They cannot ship power bank with normal way, I am not sure why they didn't change it like Gearbest I received mine from local address.

  • +1

the 20k was one of the best purchases I've made in a while. Highly recommend

The one I ordered from Gearbest on 18Aug received last week from local.

    • Also ordered from gearbest, on 22Aug, still not received.

      • 22Aug hope you should receive it next week.

        It will take 2 weeks.

        • Hope so!

  • Are these both charge both ways at the same time?

    • +1

Both way charging yes. I'll add that in deal.

    • +1

Yes it does. however i only get quick charge if it is only from the battery pack.

Although, this might be because i have normal going in and quick charge coming out. Not sure if you quick charge in it quick charges out too.

      • Be great if some can confirm qc both waya at the same time.

      • By quick charge is that like fast charging on the S7? I know the older xiaomi powerpacks cant do that (or at least mine dont). Also when people say charging both ways is that meaning that you charge the battery and charge the phone with the battery, at the same time?

        • +1

          yes

        • +1

The 20k does qc3.0 when a qc3.0 compliant is plugged in one port. However not when two devices are plugged in.

Charging both ways means for qc3.0 compliant device plugged in it is charged qc3.0. When recharging the powerbank it is able to be charged with a qc3.0 compliant charger from the likes aukey or tronsmart or anker.

charge the battery and charge the phone with the battery, at the same time?

          This known as passthrough charging.

Great, just bought! Got a last generation one and it has worked perfectly.

There's another seller on eBay with the same image as shopping square (including the shopping square logo), but a slightly lower price. Check the vendor closely if buying…

  • Thanks, I got the last 10,000mAh one

  • Thanks OP. Got a 20,000.

  • +1

SO are these power banks going to be delivered?

Unlike shopping squares last deal pretty sure hardly anyone received theirs

    • If they ship from Sydney I'd say yes but if they ship from HK I highly doubt it. I had to put in a PayPal dispute to get my money back.

      • yeah got a refund from shopping square from the last deal.

have ordered one of these only cause it says local stock

        • They first have them as local stock but after awhile they changed the delivery date and look like overseas stock.

Just wait for Gearbest for another deal.

        • @superforever:
if would appear if they're being delivered from outside AU you got buckleys chances of getting it delivered

        • @myusername:

I received this from similar deal in around 2 weeks from NSW 2143

  • -8

The one from the last deal from shopping square never turned up, buyer beware!!!

    • +3

No probs, but just to clarify for others: that deal was shipped from Hong Kong.

This deal is shipped from Sydney.

  • +2

Can I use this to jump start my car battery?

    • For starters, how's it going to connect to your car battery terminals?

      • you can purchase jumper connectors that can attach to the usb. I am just not sure whether it will generate sufficient voltage - hoping someone with experience can tell me.

        • -1

Lolwut? I've never seen such a product. Are you sure? All the lithium jump starters I've seen have a very different connector.

The one superforever posted below seems overpriced for what it is, there are many jump starters out there around or under $100 that will assist jump starting a car, but it depends how flat the battery is and the type of engine. The one I bought and have used is made by Suaoki.

      • for starters

        Teehee!

    • +1

May be by the look at this one spec.

  • What is micro current mode and when to use it?

    • +1

Its when you got a device like a smart watch, bluetooth headset etc that draw small current that the powerbank goes to sleep because its not detecting the device plugged into it properly.

      • Which model have micro current mode?

I have problem using the 10000 to charge my HTC RE camera, it will shut down by itself.

        • +1

The 20k has the button which one of its feature is to enable micro current mode.

        • @xoom:

Will have to wait for cheap 20000 deal。。。

  • 10000mAh back in stock as of a couple hours ago.

  • 20000mAh out of stock

  • Can get cheaper in ebay with the 20% going on.

    • This is part of the eBay 20 percent off deal.

  • Is it the cheapest 20000 mAh powerbank ever ?

  • Bought mine 16 Aug in a previous deal local stock and came Thursday 30 Aug. They had estimate of after 6th Sept.

    • Yeah I'm not confident that it's actually local stock :(

I ordered on the 1/9 and still no sign of it…

  • Both are back in stock now but only 3 hours before the sale ends.

  • well so proud to say that after ordering these 3 times from different deals, this one finally arrives!!!
